My family had a tradition for how we put ornaments on the tree. My grandpa makes us go in chronological order and he individually hands us an ornament and tells us the story off where and when him and grandma got the ornament. One of my favorite traditions!!

I'm 28 and my parents adopted my little sister three years ago when she was two.. She is my absolute best friend and in December I love doing Christmas things with her that I did as a child.. Decorate the tree, make a countdown, wrap presents, watch Christmas movies, etc. It is so worth it to see her sweet smile♥️

I’m 52 and my favorite thing to do in December is pay my blessings forward. Each trip to our local box store, I find a mom with a child and I pick a 10.00 gift item suitable for age and gender of the child that I spotted. I buy said item and thennnn I wait. That’s the hardest part. What is amazing about this , out of the 20 or 30 times that I have done this, more than half of those children, will give that gift to a “needier” child or turn around and do the same as I do. I e made some very good friends and am very grateful to be able to live in folks in times like these. Plus I LOVE trying new eye shadow looks. The colors of fall and winter are sooo much FUN!

I have lots of things I enjoy in December.. This year. Or was such a change in our routine.. So I tried to keep the days light and positive for our little family.. Getting the tree and all the vintage decor.. I wouldn't put the decor up until everyone was here..and as we were putting the tree up.. Laughing and talking about memories we've shared.. That is just so special to me.. I wanted to make sure they understood what this is all about.. I need to have them know how important it is to have family...you guess are part of my family..
