I'm so glad Mom is doing so much better and I hope and pray she gets the 100% back she wants. I love hearing the rain on the tin, it sounds great and I'm like your Father-in-Law. I want to be there working around the horses also. But I too old know, but my heart is there. I have been watching your posts ever since you started and I still enjoy watching them!! I lived in Louisiana in the early 80s, in a shotgun shack in the middle of nowhere. The place had a tin roof, and if it was raining hard, we couldn't hear each other speak. Just had to have quiet time. 😅

Hello Joel and Gavin Here in Indiana we have a weather advisory out for uses we have storms and possible chance of tornado’s heavy rain and lighting. Hello Don glad to see your getting better don’t blame you 100percent . Hello Robert glad to see your helping Joel with the horses when it’s nasty outside and your a grand pa cool. My hubby wanted to put tin roof on our house I said no it would be to noisy when it rains and plus have to turn volume up on tv to hear it no , no , no . Until later tonight start again to feed and check hay and water and let horses out 🪶

When I had surgery on my shoulders both times it was nearly a full year till all pain was gone! But they were never back to100% I wish your mother the best but going back in time would be really great if it could happen! Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend 😊

Mom Dawn is looking almost fully recovered from shoulder surgery. She will never be 100% ......95% is possible. :) FIL- Robert nice to see you again. I too live in Florida and I fully understand what you mean about that weather. I would rather be in the mountains of Pa as well. Joel and Gavin: Are you two going for the ZZ TOP look of long beards? Or still in the deciding phase? I think they look great. Not everyone can pull off a beard. Petey for example, he can totally rock a gotee but not a full beard. This is just my opinion. Try not to float or slide away in all that rain and mud. Thank you for sharing your world. See you in the next one.

Mom- my rule of thumb- if I battled an ‘injury’ for five years before making a change… then I need to be in healing and recovery mode for five years. Nutrition is so important. Processed food and the standard American diet is killing us. Worse than that, most doctors don’t know about good nutrition.

Always nice to see your mom! Glad to hear about her progress. I wouldn't fault your FIL for wanting to move to Pennsylvania. Life down here in Florida has gotten insane. I've never seen so many people talk about losing their home insurance due to insurance companies collapsing. I'm on income-based rent and they raised that $50 because I was at the bottom of the qualifying income. The people with higher income (though still in the program) had theirs raised by $200. Can you imagine someone finding out their rent just went up $200 a month??? I do agree with your FIL though that caring for horses is addictive. When I was in Jr. High, I worked at a riding stable in the area in exchange for riding time. They were a rental stable in Potomac, MD; charged by the hour, and had beautiful trails and full-day summer camp. Probably the only time in my childhood that I really enjoyed life. 😊
