I saw all three parts and this is probably the nicest forge I've ever seen. Do you have the plans or a 3d model of it? I would love to make one like yours. Thanks!

Having watched the entire build series no less than a half dozen times, I can safely say that the forethought, time, effort and overkill produced the cleanest, most professional caliber forge (better, actually) I've seen yet. Well done, sir!

Thanks! I will be using the forge in the next video to make some parts for the project that I'm currently working on :)

I have just now watched your forge build. I must say your attention to detail and design are superb!! I was wondering if you have for sale plans for this design as I am looking to build a forge myself and your design looks like the best I've seen. Thank you for posting your videos. Have a great day.

I found that for cutting plate instead of sheet or small stock, a 7" cutoff wheel in a skil saw works better compared to a 4" grinder, more comfortable to use also.

I am in the planning process of building a new forge. The forge I’m building is very similar to this one. Do you have any plans or blueprints for the door system you built for this forge you could share?

Good morning I like this design Do you have a plan available? Merry Christmas
@Robenbuilds3 жыл бұрын
Hello and Merry Christmas! I unfortunately don't have any plans available for this build. I honestly didn't expect that anyone would want to replicate my project so I didn't make any plans for it. However maybe I should reconsider and make plans available for future tool-like projects

I'm looking for the materials and measurements. What are they?
@nicolagalvagni7795 Жыл бұрын
Hi good morning !!! I'm Nicola and I'm writing to you from Italy and more precisely from Trentino (Northern Italy) ... I wanted to offer you my sincere congratulations for your excellent and superb creation of the propane gas forge, and for the excellent videos in which you can see the various stages of realization and constriction and construction … excellent workshop equipment !!! I wanted to ask you and take advantage of it, since I have been in the mechanical and carpentry sector for years, and I have wanted to make a forge for years. On this occasion, I wanted to ask you if I could make your gas forge and on this occasion I had to ask you for some technical information for the same creation on my part. It's some information and some specific technical details. 1) The dimensions of the support base, I obtained some measurements 550 x 780 H = 80 mm. While for the cooking chamber or tunnel, I obtained these measurements 540 x 550 H = 350 mm, while I found some difficulty in obtaining the dimensions of the arched opening with a radius of 150 mm, while the height of the center (arch) I set to 90 mm from the base, while the width is 300 mm, with a total height from the base of 240 mm. If you can verify my measurements with yours, I would be very very grateful!!! While the total length of the tunnel is 550 mm.

'Elløw. Awesome forge! Awesome video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 What the f@ck are you planning on making, Tanks?! 😅 Anyway; what kind of refractory did you use for the burner?
@Robenbuilds3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I will use the forge for all kinds of projects, but I will mainly need the large forge chamber for heating up large and wierdly shaped pieces of steel for what you could call sculptural work. I basically didn't want the size of my forge to be a limiting factor to my creativity. I used a special castable refractory cement that is rated for 1500 *C which is resistant to thermal shock. The refractory cement contains a very small amount of cement and with that only requries a really small amount of water. It is imposibble to mix by hand or with a normal concrete mixer so you need to use some sort of force mixing machine like a pan mixer.

@@Robenbuilds One of the nicest forge builds on you tube :) What is the name of the refractory? I'm planning to make one myself
@Robenbuilds3 жыл бұрын
@@jondrud3742 Thanks for the kind words! I used the same castable refractory cement for both the burner and the rest of the forge. The company that makes the refractory is "Höganäs Borgestad" and the name of the refractory is "Höganäs Flow LC 50 AR". Good luck and have fun on your forge building adventures! :D
