Back in high school in the early 90s, me and my motorhead friends (and even girlfriends on occasion) would pack lunches and go visit old salvage yards out in the country, 3 hours away at times. We’d eat sandwiches on top of old 1940s GM busses and check out acres of ancient iron. We may have snuck away with the occasional emblem but most often we’d pay the few bucks for them at the office. Yard owners were always nice about it. I believe at least some of these yards, with their old inventory, are still around today.

An "Encore" was made by Renault back in the 80s...it was kinda like the "LeCar". They thought it would save AMC, but they ended up being bought by Chysler and the rest is history.
