I would start with Pillars of the earth. Awesome series. You wouldn't think a book about a cathedral would hold interest. But it is awesome. Great mini series available as well. political intrige and good versus evil. Great characters and his historical accuracy is amazing.

I just joined the newsletter, so I'm excited to read Silence is Silver! Artemis was quite disappointing for me as it felt like one of Andy Weir's weakest works. I had never 1-stared a book on Goodreads until I read that book. I absolutely loved The Martian and I still need to read Project Hail Mary.

The Blacktongue Thief was great, The Daughter's War is on my list and cant wait to get to it. The audio book for Blacktongue Thief is also really well done. Christopher did his own narration and knocked it out of the park.

A column of fire is part of the Kingsbridge series but I’d definitely recommend starting with Pillars of the Earth. One of my favorite books ever

My most recent hauls were The Ship of Destiny (just about to start Liveships, so of course I had to get the full trilogy) by Robin Hobb, and two new releases, The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst, and All This and More by Peng Sheperd

I definitely agree that every series should at least have a short recap of the previous books (prefaced with a SPOILER ALERT lol). It would make it so much easier.

A 'don't-miss-it' novel by Ken Follett is the WW2 thriller Eye of the Needle. I'd start with that one.

Column of Fire is the third book in the original Kingsbridge Series. He’s since released a prequel and a fourth book. I would start with Pillars of the Earth…it’s long but a great ride with memorable characters, particularly villains.

I have read all three of Andy Weir's books in the last year or so. I actually enjoyed Artemis the most. It is a little less science obsessed then the other books and less of a solo adventure as well. I think people had expectations from The Martian going into it that it does not satisfy.

I hope they don’t change the narrator and covers for Dungeon Crawler Carl on Audible. Artemis is not his strongest but not bad. Also the cover has nothing to do with the book which is odd.
