I live in CA. Cali is very beautiful. But yes the cities are getting very bad. What happened to your truck is called bipping in the Bay area. Do not park your truck or car on a city street if you are in SF Bay Area. And they say to actually leave your windows down so the thieves can see in your car vehicle. Crazy times we live in.

Several years ago (6 maybe?) while closing the Alameda family home I saw stuff (🤯in quiet Alameda even!!) that made me sure I wouldn’t be back to even visit. Makes me so very sad to see my beautiful San Francisco city that I used to work in look like a trash & poop heap. My dad & mom are rolling in their graves there!! Dad was SF born & bred, he was so proud of “HIS” city. Stay safe!

FYI, just a tip from an old experienced person with life; get a mattress cover for your new mattress if it doesn’t have one already. It protects the mattress, and gives a bit of extra cushioning. I have used one for years, and you don’t have to wash it each time you wash your sheets. :)

Will!!! I recognize you from Matt's RV Reviews. Just found this channel. Congrats in going on the road full-time. Wow. Yes, hooking up in the rain is such a pain. We have to do that a lot in Michigan. Those cheap plastic blocks didn't work for our little teardrop camper, either. We use larger rubber ones but if we ever get a camper with dual axels we will definitely look into these MaxChocks. We also love calmer parks with less people. How frustrating that your truck was broken into. I went to New Orleans on business more than 25 years ago and I totally know what you mean about not feeling safe. I encountered a lot more debauchery than I'm used to just walking down the street. Glad more wasn't taken! Subbing to watch more of your adventures. Sorry about the window =( Off-season is a lot more chill but still wouldn't recommend bringing a dog or children. There's so many good places to eat, amazing architecture on buildings, and in the surrounding areas there's a lot of great history and places to see. Unfortunately there certainly is a lot of crime (they even have reality shows simply following the daily lives of EMTs and police in that area). Chin up and move onward! I'd be cognizant of the same issues if you plan to visit LA or San Francisco - lot of vehicle breakins there as well.

I live just under a hour south west of New Orleans. I have family there and my son was born there. We use to visit a lot but lately in the past couple of years crime is so bad. Will it’s so sad because people feel the same way about visiting New Orleans even us. Your lucky the police answered the phone LOL. Glad y’all liked Fireside. It’s a nice place but can get crowded in the summer for sure. Great channel guys keep up the good work.

A few years ago I had my truck broken into and valuables stolen when I thought it was parked in a safe place. I am so impressed with your attitude and how you took care of it. I was loving your visit to NOLA, it's one of my favorite cities. I can't even count the number of times I've visited. Yes, it's dangerous sometimes but generally safe in well populated areas. The food is amazing and the heritage is fascinating. I took my 12 year old nephew there for a week and he loved it. It's a wonderful city if you just stay aware of your surroundings.

I stopped in New Orleans 4 years ago while I traveled solo in my TT. I stayed at KOA in Kenner, just west outside the city. They had free shuttle into NO and I took an Uber back as I wanted to leave earlier than the return shuttle. I was on high alert walking around the city as an older female but all went ok. I got the muffuletta and ate it sitting along the river. Went to Cafe du Monde located in Kenner and no wait. Took a horse drawn buggy on historical tour throughout the city with some nice other tourists. Definately some weird people in the city. I also went to Waco next on my trip west. Magnolia Table restaurant has the very best breakfast. Stuffed french toast with warm maple syrup and strawberry butter. The Silos have greatly expanded since I was there. Have a great trip.

I was into it, remembering when I'd had beignets at Cafe Du'Monde for the first time--but, not the chocolate (they looked yummy); and then the unthinkable happens. Your vlogs are so personal; it felt like it happened to me. It makes you wonder why--out of all of the other cars that were there. The important thing is that YOU were safe, as well as your home. So sorry y’all had a bad experience in New Orleans. It really isn’t a safe city at all. We live an hours drive southwest of New Orleans and dread any trip we have to take to the city. I’m glad y’all found Fireside, it’s one of our favorite places to go. Please don’t let your experience in New Orleans give y’all a bad impression of Louisiana. We have a beautiful state that has so much history and natural beauty and many really nice and peaceful campgrounds. Safe travels!

😮fireside is one of my wife and I favorites. We live in Baton Rouge and only 40 minutes away. Fireside and reunion lake are great places... super friendly and always clean... another must do if in this area is a place called Paradise Ranch. Look it up... there are deer that live there and roam everywhere, they come out in the evening and everyone hand feeds them...

New Orleans is a cess pool but we still make trips from the Gulf Coast for the food. The only safe places to park in the quarter is in secured and monitored parking garages in the hotels.

Many travelers have a target on their back when it comes to chances of getting broken into. Hope y’all’s stay in Waco is better! We are actually 35 miles outside of Waco. Now, steer clear of San Antonio. I personally know 4 people who have been broken into, one of which was at a Cracker Barrel which was a shocker to me!

We also had dash cam footage and an eyewitness of our break in but they did not pursue it. I have used those in the past. The last time, we were packing to leave. I forgot about the x things. We hooked up and moved our camper out on the road. I felt NO resistance. We checked the site one last time. The x thing was on the ground. It offered NOTHING. We threw them away.

We stayed at the French Quarter rv resort which we were able to walk to that area that you went to (French Quarter!) Bourbon street and we liked it, but I don’t know I would ever go back either.! Your video is making me remember it all over again! The tour we took was our favorite part, we went to a plantation, and a cemetery. Bourbon street was crazy for sure. So sorry that happened to you. We just walked, we didn’t drive and park there. I wouldn’t have wanted to either.

My coworker had her car broken into in New Orleans in March. Multiple cars were broken into on the same street. They target tourists. She also had her phone pick pocketed on the same trip. New Orleans used to be fun…..although I always found it to be dirty, but it has steadily gone down hill since Hurricane Katrina to the point where I will not go back there. We live 3 hours away in Pensacola. It’s actually the half way point to meet my family from Houston, but we will no longer meet there.

The last time I was in NOLO, there was a shooting the next night at the exact corner we stood on for a while. I'm from Vegas, you think I would be a bit numb to the goings on of some things. Uh no! That was just to much. The locals say things got worse after Katrina. Glad you three were alright.

That's a bummer about your Ute (truck)! It's things like this that can ruin an experience, but crime is everywhere, yet not everywhere is as bad as the next. My neighbourhood doesn't have the best reputation and I've had a few problems, but I still feel safe and content here. Crazy, I know. I'm sorry this happened to you guys. I just came back from NOLA with a friend and it was super disgusting. It was in May so it was grossly hot, humid, dirty, and smelled like puke, piss, and weed. The food was amazing and I liked some of the architecture but other than that, you couldn't pay me to go back to that crap hole. I'm glad you guys got to at least see it & it wasn't hotter than crap. I miss your videos...haven't had one out in a while!

im full timer sold my home in 2019 got a used motorhome tow my jeep never have had a problem, i have a home owners policy on the motor home since it is my home now and never have anything worth stealing in my jeep so everything is covered in the motorhome, so with the regular insurance to drive it and the home owners its 101.00 a month but if some one breaks in im 100% covered even if it burn to the ground cause its my home

Read the fine print on those max chocks. Despite the name, they are NOT replacements for chocks and are supposed to be used with chocks. The problem is a shift in weight in your RV can cause the Maxx Chocks to come loose.
