Oh bless you…It’s really not as though you HAVE to buy all that, purely in order to save a couple of pounds, hun. Just imagine if you only bought one bag of chips instead of three - now you’ll have to eat them all and you know full well they’re full of crap and bad for you, but you apparently saved by buying that amount…only you didn’t, did you, because you then had to spend more money than you needed to, in order to “save”? And even you pointed out that you’ve been attempting to eat less of this stuff, so why buy so much of it? It’s a trap I used to fall into myself so please don’t think I’m purely having a go, I’m merely pointing out the obvious…which isn’t always as obvious as it may seem! But equally, as someone has already suggested - it’s your money your choice, and you don’t have to excuse yourself to anyone for that.

I think because Karen is back to work full time, she is falling back into some habits she knows are not healthy, but they are fast meals she doesn't have to think about. Many people do the same thing, but fast meals don't have to necessarily translate to ultra processed meals. We here in the U.S. have a particularly chemical/grease/GMO/toxic load of rubbish that is called processed food. In the UK, if you look at the ingredients for a comparable processed food, you will see that they have very much less, if at all, the toxic ingredients we do. They don't allow it over there. If you look up one of their brand name foods that is processed, then one of ours, you can see the huge difference. So while none of it is healthy, especially the super heated deep fried stuff, we can maybe breathe a bit easier knowing that.

Hi Karen! Thats a huge shop! Makes me tired just looking at how much you had to haul! I live in a camper so my freezer space is quite small. I'd get more frozen goods if I had the space. Great deal on the tp! That's a lot of food! 👏😊 Time for tea! ☕

Everytime I see "farmfoods" in the title of a video, I have this picture in my head of a shop of quality fresh food. And I am happy for you, for eating more healthy. But this is just ultra processed stuff. You can do better Karen.

Can you get mini kettles or travel kettles with a lead that fits in the car? Just thinking that would be a life saver (for me, at least) to have a canister of water and some dried packets like soup or pot noodles or whatever. (I’m in Germany).

I like the idea of small cans of beans. I haven't seen that before. I also include items like laundry products and paper goods and hygiene to my grocery budget. It's easier for me to deal with the budget as a whole instead of having separate ones as I know some people can do.

@marcse7en21 сағат бұрын
Karen should explain who Kathleen and Patrick are, for the benefit of those who may not know. Is Kathleen Karen's daughter? I thought Patrick might be Karen's partner, but if she doesn't say, we'll have to guess?

@theclumsyprepper And somebody who DIDN'T see these "previous videos," how are they supposed to know? ... I've watched for a while now, and often hear Karen refer to Kathleen and Patrick, but I'm having to GUESS who they are? I think Kathleen might be Karen's daughter? And Patrick her partner or husband? ... I would suggest, if Karen is going to talk about family members, that she clarifies WHO they are, regularly! People are NOT psychic! Just because Karen "said it many times" doesn't really help new viewers, does it??? Good communication is NOT rocket science!

Unfortunately the macains gastro triple chips sit in the rendered fat unless you drain it halfway and become very greasy and soggy. It's a no for me. I prefer Albert Bartlett home style chips or my own with part blanched chips with olive oil into the oven.

If you air fry them the fat drains under the plates so they don't sit in fat.

Huge haul to fill up the freezer. With two busy gals working full time you need to be able to grab quick meals. And Kat gets to chose her own favourites. Before I gave up all wheat and carbohydrates I used to like the Youngs fish too.
