You are 100% wrong when you said no one can fix the a/c. You just haven't found a competent a/c technician. I know it is hard to find good people to repair anything, but they are out there.

The issue is an old vehicle which probably needs a gas which is no longer available or is extremely expensive. The other issue, a mechanic should have looked at it before he purchased to warn him about the A/C.

Oh bullshit. If it ever worked, then it can be fixed to work again. The temp valve is probably bad. That’s the reason it works when first started and then blows hot. Also radiator fans could be bad. If there’s a fan clutch check it. If sensors for electric fan check it.

So the first opinion on AC for the Tracker is "AC permanently broken? WHY ? Is it economically prohibitive? WHAT PART(s) OF THE SYSTEM are bad ? I can understand if the evaporator coil is damaged, BUT you should be able to find SOMETHING that will work. The IMPOSSIBLE to repair just takes more effort. Just my $.02

the little tracker is cute, but since you are selling it, maybe you can get a mid sized truck as you will need it for hauling stuff. i love my truck, even after i recently downsized, its still got enough room in the bed to haul stuff and can tow a trailer with m/c etc. 😊

Snakes are highly intelligent with a sense of humor, they love shocking people if they like the people. We had a wide gate. When the kids were playing outside, it would go to its "guard post", between the 2 gate posts, stretch out from post to post. To make sure thekids didnt go out of yard and onto railroad tracks. Other danger areas also. Ive read snakes patrolan area a mile long. My smaller 6 ft rat snake would walk to mailbox with me, abt four7th mile round trip. Last time it did, someone killed it. They mustve been afraid of it. That word i messed up was 4th of a mile , round-trip.

Excellent opening, I do hope you put out a saucer of water for your property helper. I had a Russian Blue that attacked snakes, I couldn't break her, sadly. I don't mind snakes at all, Dad used to put them on me when I was a kid and the cool slittering was pleasant. Nice shot, like you two as a couple 05:58 she sure has a pleasant personality! Mom was scared to death and he wanted me not to be like Mom. Get a soil tester, for a couple of bucks. Blueberries like acid soil, take 6 years for full production if they survive. Most people have two bushes, although they are supposed to be self-pollinating. I wouldn't have a fir tree near a building, or any tree with any height, I had all cut down when limbs broke off, (self-pruning,) and went through the roof when the trees got old.

Eric. Mechanic tells you that they can't fix your AC. It's because they are a shade tree mechanic, they don't have the time or facilities to do so. Or the knowledge. If I were you I would take it to a certified mechanic. Not someone that does it on the side.

You can add an aftermarket AC to the Tracker but it's not cheap. It's about $1400 for the parts excluding labor.

My dad made his own car parts when needed. He was a rare breed. He also saved lives in the Navy as well when problems happened on a submarine. He was able to make a part and save all their lives. Never once did I hear this from his mouth. He didn't accept an award either. He self taught himself everything, because he didn't have a dad. He went in the Navy after graduating from high school when he was 16. His friend graduated at 14. So I agree with you 100% because I said the same thing when I watched that.

I had a '98 Tracker with the 1.6. and the AC went out. Some parts were hard to find while I had it. Parts alone to fix the AC went for$1,100. Too much. 😮

Eric I believe that is a Bull Snake by the markings on the tail. If you google pictures of Bull Snakes and look at the bands on the tail I think you will agree. And yes he is harmless and a good one to have around if you don't want rats and mice eating your wiring and god knows what else.

Eric , I own a 97’ Tracker and replaced the ac pump / clutch and drier and charged it myself for about $350 . If you have a bad line either a good ac person should be able to make one .

There are after market air conditioners that the put in street rods that will fit in your truck. If you both really like the Tracker at least look into that. It will solve your air conditioning problem

I've owned 3. Transmission went out within first 3 months on all three. Easy enough fix, but I do like Rangers. I don't need anything quite as big as Paul's F250, but something in between would be perfect.

Hi Eric If that is all of the wood and there is none anywhere else then you may have only received what the industry calls a "Face Cord". A "Full Cord" is 4' h x 4'w x 8' long when stacked.

I am not going to trash talk your AC mechanic. I have a little newer version (Suzuki) that had an "almost unfixable" AC. I have a mechanic that I trust, and everything seemed okay except the voltage to the system was a little low. If that sounds like your situation, change out the relay. It was internally corroded. That relay was not marked as being for the AC on mine. So, you may need to look for the correct one to change. Good luck.

Air conditioning is simply mechanical components that can all be replaces somehow. That said by this time you've probably already sold the Tracker and bought something else.
