If you're going into places like this may I suggest. Mount at least a 9000 lb winch on the bus or jeep. Get a sand spade, a snatch block and learn how to use them. Watch Casey LaDelle At Cascade Towing You will learn how he rigs for pulling. Good Luck from a former big rig RVer.

PLEASE STOP using that flimsy tow rope with the hooks on it. Those things are dangerous. I know you are hearing this from other commenters, but adding good quality recovery gear and learning to use it would much improve your traveling security and adds to the fun! Suggest adding a winch, such as the Harbor Freight Badlands Apex with synthetic winch line. Two shovels. One long handled with rectangular blade for reaching well under the bus. Another with pointed blade A sand anchor is sometimes the only thing when there are no trees to pull to, or other vehicles. A Yankum recovery rope sized to the vehicle doing the pulling, not to the vehicle being pulled. If you use both the buss and the jeep to pull, that's two ropes. At least two soft shackles. If they are not already installed you need recovery points at both ends of both vehicles. You can learn a great deal about getting unstuck by watching some of these folks using the right gear the right way: www.youtube.com/@MattsOffRoadRecovery www.youtube.com/@CaseyLaDelle www.youtube.com/@trailmater The very best kinetic recovery ropes are made in Utah by these guys: www.youtube.com/@YankumRopes Some of those videos will show you that yes, sometimes a smaller vehicle can get a much bigger and heavier one unstuck. That's using the kinetic rope and using it the right way. Last comment, search KZbin for "off road recovery". You will find tons of info on using the right gear safely. :)
