Omg the craft cord/embroidery floss Loops and Threads packs! I know exactly what you're talking about- I loved those when I started making bracelets! They're very nice strings and are priced quite a bit cheaper than dmc, but I just wish they sold more colour variety and sold them in separate skeins aside from in the packs.

Hi Masha. Do yo have a video on how to add strings? Unfortunately I cut my strings too short and I'm in the middle of a project with not enough string. I am using embroidery floss.

I picked up crocheting exactly to make use of the yarn I'd bought for bracelets but hadn't worked out. Things took an unexpected turn when I ended up abandoning knotting for crocheting, for a good couple of months now! :S

I use alize diva silky effect or alize diva baby and I love it...I tried using dmc floss before since most friendship bracelet makers on Instagram use them but I didn't like how the string doesn't like...stick together (you can easily split the string into strands) Also dmc floss is thinner than alize diva silky effect/alize diva baby, and they are quite expensive where I live🙃 I haven't tried alize forever though

Yeah Alize Diva are very nice to knot with! You can mix Diva with the following other acrylic yarns: Yarn Art Rapido, Etrofil Gurme, and Kartopu Lotus ones. They're all acrylic and similar thickness to Diva I have like 170 shades between all of them combined!

I use lots of loops and threads floss and cord, but I’ve been looking for large balls of floss or cord because I go through a ton of white for base strings and such. I can’t find any balls in the US. Any suggestions (I can so far only find the small skeins and slightly larger ones from micheals)
@cooscrafts96812 жыл бұрын
Also, when using the oval-ish balls of yarn (not spheres, but the Alize shaped kind), always find the end of the string that is INSIDE of it so that you can have it laying in one spot and it won’t roll around as you use it.

i want to get into friendship bracelets but i have no string, the only problem with getting some... i have no more space because of the sheer amount of yarn from crocheting.

I wish I had some sparkly string! I can't find it anywhere! I'm just wanting to try something different than just the regular embroidery string that I've been using for 30 yrs! All I have found is some thin sparkly yarn but it's still 2-3 times thicker than embroidery string so I can't mix it without issues. Ugh! Since I can't find sparkly string, I think I'm gonna get some nylon knotting cord and make some macrame bracelets and rings and add some pretty beads. But if anyone knows a website where I can buy sparkly embroidery string, please let me know! Thanks!

Yeah Alize Forever and Alize Diva are my 2 main knotting threads to me they're the best! You can mix these perfectly with Yarn Art Etamin similar thickness and same acrylic material! I have little over 80 shades between Forever and Yarn Art Etamin that's enough selection of shades really!

Not gonna lie, it's a little painful to watch you get rid of alize forever string when that's the string was quite a bit of a hassle and money for me to get haha i do like its smaller knots a lot but I've come to realize no type of string can beat good old fashioned embroidery floss when it comes to bracelets
