Oh my gosh ! This episode was everything and more. The flakes were such a great attraction in the video. I’m telling you I think those lights are fantastic. So linear. Its all too much to take in right now. I mean it’s all looking so perfectly perfect. I’m so overly excited I need to Chill. The workers vacuuming and the sander were all therapeutic. I just love the look of everything so far. I know how you are with things being done right and I’m certain those eyes were scanning the work being done. Personally I think this crew is great ! So weird how I feel just seeing drywall. It’s like the wait was so long and a small change looks so huge. I’m so happy for you Mitch.

Looks great...BUT...why didn't they fill in all those holes on the on the side walls before they painted and put the chips on? And what is a 50 Amp welding plug for? Your shop is amazing.
@mdalerodger88442 жыл бұрын
I wondered about that as well. Moisture penetration points. In fact, given that this is going to be a high moisture room, I wonder what steps have been taken to prevent mould from growing behind the drywall and elsewhere? I would think that the build should have been treated like a wet room bath given high volume of moisture that will be in that bay. Wondering ....

oh no they used drywall on the walls where all the water lines are being run thats bad. gonna get mold real quick especially in the bathroom. when i was a carpenter i was taught to use cement wall which is like a bunch of mesh thats stacked together and held by cement. those go where waterlines are cause it wont get mold.

I was losing my mind watching them coat those beams with the holes, etc in them thinking they're going to just leave them like that! I know a bunch about these coatings and they should have filled them all with epoxy, ground down the excess then coated it. When do you expect to be in the new space working?
@davidking36992 жыл бұрын
A skim coat of something would have been a superior finish... epoxy, render, whatever would be suitable for the final coat...

Really starting to come together. That floor grinder for anyone doing their own floors you can rent one here in the States from Home Depot. Just be aware it is a dust maker. If you don't have a Shop-Vac rent one when you pick up the machine. I like what you're doing on the outside. Really can't wait to see it when it's all done. Good call on adding more outlets. With how your walls are it would be a bear to run wire once the wall is sealed up.

Just curious, but would you ever consider making a video about your products/tools and how each should be used once your new studio is complete? Or possibly make it a series? For example: when to you use the drill brushes, on what type of materials and with which products/chemicals? Just a suggestion 🤷♀

Hello. I'm new to your channels. I'm not a detailer. I just enjoy watching your transformations. I'm kind of surprised you didn't install a 2 or 3 compartment sink in-line or up stream of your interceptor (or as you call it, a pit) to clean your instruments and/or for when you take smaller trim items out to clean instead of bending over to the floor. But then I guess it comes down to cost and/or feasible usage verses expense. Same goes with a track on the ceiling or wall for your pressure washing hose so it doesn't get dirty. But then again, I don't know much about cleaning cars and if you knew how I cleaned my car you might cry. Please don't take my remarks above the wrong way. I think you do a great job and your shop is coming along nicely. All that matters is that it what you want and what works best for you. I can't wait to see the final reveal.

Hi mate the studio looks brilliant but one thing I would maybe look up on is the regs for the plumbing I don’t know how different it is over there as I’m from Northern Ireland but I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be copper coming off the cylinder/water heater not pex but the regs might allow pex. Also maybe get a clip on that gas line as if it got knocked hard enough it could twist. Not trying to discredit the plumbers who done it just want to make sure you get a good job mate
