Aura supports are tough, not much i can think of other than like cycling / activation effects, maybe: freezing aura - Your aura also causes nearby enemies to become chilled and then frozen over time shocking aura - Your aura also causes nearby enemies to become shocked over time hope we get some auras that are a bit more interesting than just +x/x% damage

Yeah it’s so difficult because often the support gem idea just makes me think they could be their own auras haha. I like the idea of altering the timing of the aura. Ramping support. Your auras oscillate from -100% to +100% effect Surge: your auras have X% increased effect but only last for X seconds (kind of like divine blessing but keeps the spirit res) Inversion: your auras no longer effect allies and instead have the opposite effect on enemies.

The swapping between controlled and M&K is exactly what I need. One of the only reasons I like D4 is I can sit on the couch with my laptop and do inventory with my mouse. POE is still leagues better.

Some support gem ideas for auras. Disclaimer: i did not play PoE. I'm a d2 player. - increased aura range - minions receive bonus from auras - turn aura into a blast of energy that enhances allies/debuffs enemies for a duration rather than remaining active always. - create totem that is source of aura instead of the character.

These are great, though I guess it kind of illustrates the challenge they are having also. I can't imagine that many more beyond these that actually change the mechanic and are not just mandatory upgrades for everyone like inc effect etc. Divine Blessing is a great example of a support. Reckon they would need about 12-16 to make it feel like there is an actual variety of choice for your 5 support sockets. Especially now you cant use more than one copy of a support get on your character.

Do we know if they're going to upgrade the old mtx from poe1 to fit poe2 or it's going to be the same ?

From what we know they will be bringing them over one for one. I believe it would be faaaaar too much work for very little pay off and also cause a lot of issues if they change peoples MTX retroactively. However they have reserved the right to remove certain MTX that just don’t apply to PoE2, this ofcourse can be a grey area where they get some wiggle room I imagine for example if you had a a ground slam MTX and they reeeeaaaaallly hated a ground slam MTX in poe1 they coooould remake a very similar skill that looks different called smound clam that doesn’t technically have to be phased over. This is a very silly example though and honestly I think they are just going to hope that people over time will simply use newer and likely better MTX that isn’t as immersion breaking for many people.

I think the idea is that they will actually be better at clearing now rather than not being able to do both. They will still be good single target Jonathan said
