I would not hold my breathe on the actual hardware being upgraded in a new switch. From the look of the CAD mock-up, if it is real, the switch2 seems to basically be the OLED with minor changes to the visual console casing.

I SERIOUSLY DOUBT that the Joycons will be magnetic, rather they will likely be Click-in, button release, device. Why? Because MAGNETS FRY LCD/LED SCREENS. They also are NOT GOOD to be around technology as a whole... IF these ARE legit, look closely... there are small tabs at top and bottom of the attachment part. Pressing that new button likely retracts these tabs, enabling the removal and reattatchment of the Cons. Nintendo isn't Apple. They aren't dumb enough to use magnets on their high power electronics. Also, the Lite Is NOT digital, its just Handheld only.

The Oled stand and the supposed Switch 2 stand are the exact same thing. The only changes I think were getting are the magnetic joy-cons and the significantly larger screen.

I got a feeling Switch 2's launch year about to be stacked. Pokemon Legends Z-A and Metroid Prime 4 will probably get Switch 2 SKUs if they're following the trend Playstation and Xbox began. The 3D Mario team is probably ready to go, probably that leaked Donkey Kong game. Mario Kart 9 is likely a launch title. I'd be surprised if they missed that opportunity. Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Kirby, and Splatoon teams probaby have something ready for the first year or two. And then Sakurai. I don't know if he's doing Smash Bros but the DLC for Smash finished in like 2021 I think. He's been doing something since at least then

The problem is Nintendo has the best exclusives in my opinion. Switch emulation is also not exactly perfect and some of these PC handhelds are already showing their age on games. From what we’ve been hearing, Switch 2 should have tons of third party support in addition to the great exclusives it gets. Not saying PC handhelds aren’t nice or worth it but I’d gladly take the switch over it and then just play on my desktop for those.

I doubt that's what Switch 2 will be like having a 1:1 copy of the first Switch. There may be obvious changes to the system and controller. This' more of a placeholder per se. What I think will happen, is a similar design like what Sony did when they made the jump to PS2. They'll keep the placements the same while designing the overal appearance, to give it that Switch 2 feel.

I'm gonna post a quote, paraphrased, from a Nintendo executive. When asked if there will be a digital only Switch: "NO. NINTENDO is about Accessibility and convenience. We will NEVER release a digital only console, unless it is a retro release like the NES-Mini, until things reach the point where 100% of potential consumers are guaranteed to have access to Digital options. We have not reached that point yet." Nintendo is all about Accessibility. Not everyone HAS internet, or a nearby Hotspot they can use... and unlike Sony or Microsoft, Nintendo CARES.

I play a few games on my switch, Paleo Pines, Skyrim, BOTW, BOTW2 for example and they work well with my old switch. Pokemon is terrible on the Switch, they need to optimise it and iron out all the bugs instead of pumping out crappy games that get worse with each generation.

You are so wrong. Most people hate digital, and when they pull the game it’s only smarter for them because you then have to buy it again when it becomes available at some point in the future. I HATE all digital. Physical only, so don’t say stop complaining when it is NOT smarter. Especially not for nintendo. Physical takes less space in the system. It means I have my own game. Forever. I don’t have to have internet connection to play a game, and all other handhelds suck! Hence why none of them last longer than a couple of years before they lose support. Down with digital it’s a scam and you are falling prey to it. The only one it benefits is the company in charge. Don’t believe me look at streaming anything but especially what prime does. Gamestops are holding on by a thread for this reason. Most people dont have the time or patience to go down to the store for a 12 am release date time when they can just download it and play it on the MINUTE. So yes it's way smarter and more business savvy to have both because the market trends that way. Again, this is a FACT. Why would a billion dollar company continue to waste time on making something that nobody is going to buy. It saves resources. Nobody has time for your conspiracy theories.
