Welcome to another huge Tesco haul and meal plan for my large family of 6 while we are all at home during lockdown in June 2020. Today's video contains new meal ideas & is a little different from my usual grocery haul format, so please let me know if you like it this way in the comments. I've also included some tips for fussy eaters but will do a full video on this if people would find that helpful.

Suggestion for the gammon joint (I pretty much do this on a 10-12 day rotation).... I bung it in the slow cooker & boil 6 eggs. When the gammon is ready I microwave some frozen shop bought mash potato (absolute game changer in my house). I make a simple white cheese sauce with a bit of margarine, flour , milk & cheese & 1tsp of mustard. Then shred the gammon into a large dish, peel & chop the eggs over it, pour over the cheese sauce, spread out the mash potato on top & sprinkle any left over grated cheese & bung it in the oven for 10mins. I serve it with a mix of frozen veg. It's literally 10 mins cooking but a filling family meal with leftovers too 😋 x

What do we think of the new format of filming? Do we prefer the old way (showing things by category, fridge, frozen, cupboard etc) or do we prefer the new way where things are grouped by meal? Either way, I always include a meal plan at the end on my meal planing board, so stay tuned for that x

I prefer the old way, but would be interesting to see the meal plan before the shopping and then again at the end with any changes you needed to make because of dates. That's the way I usually do my meal plans (not my grocery haul videos, I'm not a KZbinr 😂) x

Think I prefer the old style. However you do you whichever is easier for you. We made wrap pizzas last week however we were running low on wraps so we did a few pitta pizzas and everyone preferred the bases as they were more of a pizza texture. Love the haul videos x

Does anyone else find themselves stressing about the frozen food defrosting while it's sitting out on the worktop? I can't concentrate on the rest of the video until we get past the frozen section, and then in my head I imagine you've paused filming and gone and put it in the freezer 😂, only then can I relax! Please tell me I'm not the only one worrying about your frozen food 😂 love your videos by the way, the grocery hauls are my favourite but I stumbled upon your channel when you were doing the house renovation and I was looking for ideas for my own kitchen renovation x

I enjoyed this new way. It may be easier and clearer to follow if you put the food for the meals throughout the week on the long surface with space between them and the other items on the island. Keep being you!! 💕

Kerry welpdale does her hauls like this and I really like it because then if I want to try any of her ideas I know exactly what I need so I like it. I have that gammon all the time but I slow cooker it and it doesn't really slice into steaks very well. Emmm are there parents out there not bribing their kids? I've never met them! xxx

Worked a treat! #dontjudgeme 😂 also, for night time training I bought the full selection of my little ponies (was on clearance for £15 at Tesco for 6 ponies) and for every dry night she got a pony! She wanted the full collection so bad it was like magic... dry! 😁 bribes work 😊

Great meal ideas You could also have fish fingers on stand by instead of the chicken dippers on fish meals. I still do this if we're having salmon my daughter doesn't like it so we compromise with fish fingers. Also if you have toastie maker I would recommend you try the pain au chocolait in it, it melts.... We love it!

Cashews are my FAVE!!! There is a brand that I can only find in lidl (they may be in other shops but I can only find them in lidl) that is INCREDLE. A little bit pricey however you get loads in the bag and I just cannot explain how good they are. LOVE CASHEWS 😍

I was use fairly dishwasher tab I started use Tesco own brand dishwasher tab we never go bk fairy Tesco or Aldi ones are fine but I alway keep a back up most thing like dishwasher tab washing powder . liquid and fabric conditioner etc we are family or 2 that me and my mum we use are spare for storage this were most live before it get downstairs to be use I so use the bottom of air cupboard aswell for storage aswell

Not that it matters, but the video title says April. :) I have heard the word "gunge", but I have no idea what it means. I love crab cakes. You should get a salad spinner. It makes washing salad greens and things like that so much faster. When I hear you talking about cooking Italian food, I wish I were there because I'd eat both. As long as doing the haul video this way doesn't let anything thaw too much, I say do it however you want. Grating your own mozzarella can be difficult if its very fresh and moist, so I wish you luck in that. I must say, I'd love to be somewhere where temperatures in the 20s Celsius was considered warm. :) Cashews are one of my favorite things. I think they are almost buttery in flavor, especially when they're roasted. :) Since I know you like them so much, I wish I could send you some of the larger cans of cashews we can get here. You could last a month on a kilogram size in can of them. :)
