Clear the breather hole in the fuel cap/my thoughts exactly how do they get there😂😂😂

Valve clearances can have a huge effect on these engines ,if they are too tight to start from as it heats up they can close up but still give an indication of compression when kicked over , when the engine cools down the clearance opens up enough to run for a while until heated up again , carbs on these also can be very prone to blocking in the galleries that supply the emulsion tube .

Well done on hitting the 1,000 subs. Always enjoy your vids. I commuted for over 20 years, winter and summer on Italian bikes. First on a 1994 Monster then a 1977 LeMans, a Guzzi V65 and a Stelvio. They never let me down.

I'm not surprised they are way better than their reputation,

Check the air filter and/or breather for the fuel tank on the Honda ST70; and, sip some more nice red wine! Congratulations on the 1k subscribers

well done on the 1000 subs . from another old Guy , 75 next month , Honda are my favourite bike brand , they are without doubt very reliable . have you checked all the basics like a spark at the plug etc . my 3 hondas now are all fuel injection . our Honda dealer is very good and i would be asking the mechanic his thoughts on what is happening or not with the bike .

I'm just going through it bit by bit before I picked it up it had sat for years in a conservatory so it's just throwing up problems.

Well done on 1K subs tbh I think Hondas reliability is not really any better than anyone elses but they sell so many more bikes that in outright terms there are far more happy customers than unhappy ones. I seem to remember from the dark recesses of my memory that those early CDI units did cause problems but it was a long time ago now so don't know details but it is ringing a bell.

You're probably right about Honda, CDI is on my list to investigate
@KevinBunker-j8r11 ай бұрын
As it’s been sitting in a conservatory has the petrol jellified around the inside of the fuel tap. This happened to one of my older Hondas that ‘sat’ to much with similar results and also the fuel lines rotted internally some say due to these modern ethanol fuels?
@oldguyinshed170311 ай бұрын
No it was drained of fuel and I have checked the system through, even so I'm a little unsure of the carburettor

Green mold on the electrical connections ?
@oldguyinshed170311 ай бұрын
Going to check that as the bike had been stood for years before I got it

Does it stop running after it warms up. Change the cdi on the end of the crank.

Bad ground or bad + battery cable.
@oldguyinshed170311 ай бұрын
doesn't need a battery but all the contacts will have to be checked
