If you look at 0:27 it kinda looks like the May 3 1999 tornado that hit moore oklahoma

Yes, generally wedge tornadoes are ranked higher. But take note, I said GENERALLY. In some cases wedges can be Ef1/Ef2. Plus, i was in Colorado during this time and it was an EF-4!

at ground level with tornados like that it's tough to tell the difference between a tornado and a dust plume... which we get often in the colorado plains. I remember that storm, we had several more later that season in my county.

Welcome to Colorado y’all the weather dose what it wants been here my whole life we get it all but hurricanes

We probably have some of the most erratic and unpredictable weather in the country. That's why the saying "if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes" ultimately applies here better than anywhere else imo.

There is no look to a tornado of any given intensity. From what I hear this was a borderline EF3/EF4
@terrellgott11508 жыл бұрын
Just because it looks like a wedge doesn't mean it is an EF4 or an EF5. There is wedge tornadoes that only reach EF1 you know. Also, it isn't about speed anymore really. It's really about the damage now.

where did the hail come from? was it a cold day??
@keenanalexander30032 жыл бұрын
Hail is mostly spring and summer weather phenomenon here. It usually occurs during thunderstorms. Storms like the one in the video often produce hail (sometimes very large hail like this), as they are very tall. Generally, the larger the hail is, the stronger the updraft of the thunderstorm. Since we are at high elevation, hail is particularly common with thunderstorms here; we're closer to where the hail forms within thunderstorms generally. Snow on the other hand is normally from much thinner clouds, which don't produce hail or lightning.

Is this the Winser tornado
@Saucygremlinsks7 жыл бұрын
you know this tornado was very fast moving and it would lift at points and lose intensity then descend and gain its strength back.... really weird never know why they do hat.... i also saw some dudes clock on his wall still hanging and the entire apartment wall had been ripped off and the entire inside had been sucked out and gutted leaving nothing left... crazy.
