I know I stopped with these fancy fade parted side stuff. I just buzz my hair a 5.5 on the top and razor the sides and back off. It almost looks like a bald fade but without the annoying fade blending stuff. I'm kinda tall and keep the line way on top so really no one can see it. They just see a clean groomed buzz on top of my head. It is something short so I don't have to deal with it. Having this parted hair is nice for only 4 or 5 days. I like my new bald buzz on top look. It is low maintenance too and does not spoil either if swimming or it is a windy day. Also it Lasts for like 2 months now before I see the hair getting too long. I love it.

I don't know what country you are from but the majority of places that make wigs require a certain length of hair before it is useful, as a lot ot the length gets lost when creating the wig. If they have very long hair then putting it into ponytails, chopping them off & donating them is a good idea (btw the majority of places want clean but not recently washed hair that is tied together.) They would need information on what their chosen wig maker requires though...

I sometimes cut my own hair, and at times, other's. I've used scissors, and I've done this method shown. I prefer this method being shown, because you can get a more even, flat cut on the ends of the hair, and a less uneven/looked like your hair wass slightly butched by a butcher look. 😂 This is also how I get my bangs more even, and more in line just in the middle of or below my eyebrows, where I prefer my bangs to be.

I don't understand the pompadour, nor why he kept going higher and higher. I thought he was going to cut something in between (like another line or something), didn't make sense he went to all that trouble just to get it 1-3 inches shorter. If he didn't cut in the pompadour, it would have just been a regular fade. Didn't understand what his technique was, ya know?? I agree, with his long hair, he could have had a totally different style, that's "in style". His hair was beautiful. Just needed a trim and/or different style. Sorry.
