Hey Jordan. Any updates on the old steam shovel? I’d love to know what progress has been made restoring it.

Crazy to see Jordan. Thank you so much for bringing us this info on the rebuild. I drive past this every so often on the highway, I'm happy to think of all the engineering and skill every time I pass by because of you. I've shown my grandparents who have friends who lived/know people who lived on the lake.

Rebuilding is so complicated - but necessary.

Is anyone making a commitment as to when they expect Wixom (and Sandford) lake to be restored (filled)?

That is a monster. Thank you for the footage! I wonder if it has a name... Betty? Mr. Mudbath? Trencher McTrenchFace? Surely something that size isn't simply "Unit 2".

They need to dredge out the lake bottom because of all of the silt that has built up over time to make it a deeper lake sheet pile are useless they are bound to fail again sheet pile don't last. The need to be using a C cant cut off walls. Down to bed rock. And they also need a roller compacted concrete (RCC) armored emergency spillway. Kiewit Corp was the company that rebuilt the Oroville California dam. That had a major spillway failure. and what they did changed the way dams are armored and repaired. On the Federal regulation level. What they're doing here is a bandaid. It's a temporary fix. To refill the lake. It's not going to end well.
