Great video. I had a taste of the decentralized social platform with steemit/hive. A blockchain based platform where you earn crypto for your content. There was various interfaces for the same data. I even tried to build one. A great experience.

Elon not being CEO does not mean he failed, he will steer the ship regardless, he said from the time he started that he would be only CEO temporarily. I voted for him to step down due to the extra heat he is getting which may be affecting his ability to focus on Telsa, I suggest this was a big reason many voted for him to step down.

Except "decentralization" really means centralization and surveillance by big tech so maybe think about who you really stand for? Big technocrats or the average person?? Be honest about the fact that "decentralization" still has elements of centralization.

@@giancarlobuystokens My comment is meant to be understood apart from Elon and Twitter. The buzzword of "centralization" is so much bigger than social media. Over the last six months I've been researching other uses of blockchain besides crypto and finances. I don't have a problem with some uses of it such as tracking wearhouse stock or supply chains, so long as it pertains to the management of objects. I DO have a problem with it when many other facets of human data get put on it, such as: medical, mental health, education, employment, social networking, gaming, voting, social services, etc... literally everything will be put on blockchain. Cardano would just love that. In this kind of future world where everything centers around computer technology more so than it does now, any technology company becomes that point of centralization. And we don't own that tech as a good, we merely pay rent to use it. We become medieval serfs in such a system, beholden to our tech lords. Its difficult for me to explain my whole emerging future worldview and its difficult to assert what is still partially speculative but I suggest that you do some research into the wider applications of blockchain and the implications it has for society. So if you are going to ask us all to rally around your concept of "decentralization" that is a major selling point for blockchain acceptance, I would hope you have familiarity with the wider plans for its application. And if you were responsible you would acknowledge those facts as well as the possible dangers.

i hope elon continues to doing this. its part of his process to constantly try and break things until something feasable works out at twitter. he did not turn tesla and spacex into successful companies by taking things one step and a time. and lets be real, twitter has never been able to be a consistently profitable company over the largest boom cycle for tech companies. i highly doubt that will change if nothing drastic was to be done (be it by elon or otherwise) and dont underestimate how much resources social media platforms put into dealiing with spam and explicit content (though it doesnt seem that way), its not something an 'AI' can easily solve (yet) and it would be a bloody nightmare if you try to decentralize this process.
