Oh, the Beano! Mum & Dad bought me those and the Dandy. They were delivered with our newspaper - and that was in the 1950s!!

Hi Sharon, you didn’t do bad as you didn’t visit the U.K. craft stores. The shop you went into that sells toys, books and craft stuff is called The Works. For the next time you visit there is a Hobbycraft store at The Peel Centre, St Ann Way and The Range, Gloucester Retail Park, Eastern Avenue has a huge selection of craft supplies too. ❤ the material from the sewing box and paper pads from the Works.

I made it too the end, lol! Lovely to see your bits from your trip. We don’t have many craft shops around anymore, just hobbycraft and places like the range, the works (which you got the bee paper in) and dunelm (fabric shop) which are at the retail parks, that sell craft bits in them. Aldi and Lidl occasionally have craft bits. Poundland only do a few bits, not like your dollar tree. We have a lot of online shops like hunky dory, craft stash, etc and the tv craft channel create and craft that sell bits too. Rupert bear started in 1920 as a comic strip in a newspaper then in 1935 it was brought and turned into the comic strip annuals then books. They were such a great find. The wine cork lights are available cheaper on Temu and work well. What an amazing find with those postcards and bargain too. Definitely think they would be good as a digital, something that even us around the world could buy off you! The beano, dandy etc comic mags, are another great find and a bargain also, they are actually worth quite a bit to collectors! You should get your daughter to pop back to the fabric shop to pick up some more bits for you, and to keep hold of them till you visit again or she visits you! Can’t wait to see what you make with your haul!

Hi Sharon. I have never been a fan of folded gift wrap. Who wants to take the time to iron Christmas gift wrap for all those packages LOL. The craft magazines you showed with all the included goodies range from 20-ish to 35-ish dollars in the US (along the lines of Daphne's Diary). The Die Cutting magazine runs about the same price-ish as in the UK. Double-sided 12x12 at 4p is a steal-maybe even cheaper then TEMU!! Speaking of TEMU-they now have a whale-tail punch ala the discontinued Stampin Up punch-but hurry because they seem to be going fast. I am a "Dickens and Shakespeare Girl." Yes Sharon, I hung on until the very end! Cheers.

Next time you're in the UK you need to go to the retail parks for the craft stores, they moved out of the high streets as the rent was too high for them. But it means we now have warehouse sized stores that sell craft products. I'm glad you found The Works though, they are great for cheap paper pads and other craft supplies, especially around the festive times of year e.g. Easter, Halloween and Christmas. Love all the things you brought back with you ❤❤❤

I keep commenting because I love this video so much. It's made me homesick for England but I love Australia so much. Agree re shipping. I used to love sending gifts to family in England but it's just too expensive now. Amazing vintage postcards! I've bought a couple here but they were $5 each. Thanks so much for sharing.

You can get some Hunky Dory paper from Paper Wishes and Oriental Trading also has some toppers. I order off line. Here in the States I love there card kits adorable score able they are beautiful.

😅Sharon, thank you for sharing. If i could just give you some feedback. When you show an item towards the camera, please pause. When you show an item express style, i don't get a chance to see properly. It can be quite dizzying. Hope you don't mind my suggestion. Thank you
