I think maybe bricks health could be reduced to less than metal, and in compensation, brick be a gatherable resource like wood and metal that doesn't require looting. Maybe clay deposits spawn along beaches, they could be dug up with a shovel, then standing near a fire allows you to craft bricks?

Well the sky bases now are going to be harder to protect with claim flags, and the brick walls are going difficult to do, imagine in vanilla it would take too long for finding the materials to make one. But now in semi-vanilla servers are going to be insane, imagine a sky base that is built on the max height, the only way to raid one would be under the sky base to get in at least you bring more raiding gear, thanks for the update video P9

8 yrs later, Unturned is still great. Back in 2014, I was a noob. And even today, I still am XD I used to play with my lil bro back in January 2015 in Unturned 2.0 When 3.0 came out, I was excited for that. As 2014 player, I still own Beta T-shirt and Beret. Love this game forever!

So this has to be a cool update. I haven't heard of this until now, and I think it's more realistic to have brick walls stronger than metal. I play mostly single player in my own worlds with a bunch of mods that are mainly used for crafting and storage, so having this makes it a lot easier for me to base build.

@@boloboluu Yes, I'd like to recommend you some realistic Modern military clothing, a mod named "Craftable Tools" that adds craftable gas cans, batteries, and wheels, and the "More Farming Mod". All of these are awesome ones that I've used on my singleplayer servers, and I've used most of these on a Multiplayer server.

i feel like the rust building system is way better just because you need raw materials to make the foundations/floors/etc., but it's a step in the right direction. also upgrading would be great in my opinion.

It seems very barebones of a tool with how it places. I’m not sure if this would stay for long. Salvaging faster is nice though, and the snapping is a way better improvement especially for people who build for fun.

A quality video and a quality update. Haven't tried the item yet but it's still a good improvement for the game's building mechanic. I wish Nelson reworked the raiding system a bit, because spending explosives or high caliber bullets on wooden structures is kind of not very logical. Maybe make it so that you could break them with axes/chainsaws but it would take much longer, or just something like that.

I would think a problem to fix this would be an item (thinking a flamethrower) with a renewable yet difficult ammo thinking custom fule canisters like sticks (to add use) gasoline and some other explosive amunition. I'm thinking this thing can be found in Germany/Russia/Holman/Washington bandits. But the rarity of a hells fury with high damage to wood low damage to metal 1-2 health per percent. This would make wood raiding endgame but easier for endgame / late game. Also hells fury thinking like 1 time use ammo like the supper charged on galvanizer. And the nyko same thing as dfang with refillable high cal. And large buff to matamorez but increasing the recoil. Snipers doing more damage at rang if your that type just cu they are snipers

I'm not sure of if this fast building tool is good or not, it don't add anything to the game outside of fast building, so people could instantly build back their walls when they got destroyed by raiders

I think that fast building wasn't really a thing before though. Unless you had a ton of people, placing structures was pretty slow, clunky, and frustrating.

To replace a wood hole for a metal hole i need to remove the ladders, the hatch AND the doors if you have doors on the next floor of your base. WHY? Before you only needed to remove the ladders and the hatch to place a metal hole. It was already extremely annoying.
