As mentioned by other people, unlocking a room is actually a sorcery speed special action, like putting your companion in your hand or playing a land for turn. I don’t know how much this will come up and pauper but it will be relevant in other formats

@@kalikaiz haha yeah it's probably a terrible idea, I just thought it could be another way to ramp out that extra one mana when needed, although it has huge drawbacks compared to petal. I'll definitely keep your suggestions in mind when playtesting and probably go back and see if I can find a video of yours without the petals (if that even exists 🙂). I know the petals are crucial in a lot of decks, so I should get them asap, BUT too cheap for this week's price 😆 Thanks for the advice - and all the great content you make now I have your attention btw 😛

Oh I've been looking forward to seeing if/how this works in Poison Storm. I also find the room names hilarious. "Meat Locker/Drowned Diner" sound like places I would not like to unlock and the Diner sounds like you should get a food token out of it. Interesting to see Serrated Arrows back in the sideboard.

I am still not 100% sold on the 4x new room in this deck, I mean it replaced the deep analysis spot imo, but at the moment snap convinced me more, with the additional speed and the rebound ir provides. How do you think they could cohexist in the deck and how many copies of each? In addition, the introduction of the red land is something you see as functioning all the time? Btw I started pauper after your videos of poison storm and cycle storm, I love your videos, keep up with the awesome content!

I'm going to try two copies of Snap and two Meat Lockers (since that's all I pulled from prerelease on Sunday) and see how it goes at Thursday night pauper.

I really loved the room and I think it adds a ton of power to the deck. I ended up having to add in a third chalice and a 4th progress to make sure I had enough Mana. Maybe 3 snap over chalice, progress, and breath and you're good to go? Stoked to hear all of that and especially that my video got you into pauper! Amazing!

Is cutting Prologue to Phyresis a good idea to rely purely on Inquiry? I mean I get the cut for more proliferate effects like Steady Progress for the depletion lands, Pentad Prism, Chalice, but even with 4x Inquiry, and 4x Prologue it felt this deck could use some more poison counter cards. Or is it time for a Contagion Clasp in Pauper even though the 4: proliferate could be too much? :D I played the first iteration of the deck with Thirsting Roots, and without Loriens. Maybe Lorien is more necessary than anticipated.

@@klerkusmaximus I am not the biggest fan of prologue tbh. After you first get a poison each prologue is quite poor. I basically cut it to add proliferation and the card draws. It's all quite a balance!

​@@kalikaizI see. I found a video where someone played only one Prologue, and put the 3 copies into the SB - it seems a smart move against any iteration of burn, since Inquiry 'costs' 2 life. I might cut the 4th Steady Progress for 1x Prologue, and put at least 2 copies for Arrows in SB. With Meat Locker, I don't think Arrows are that necessary - and due to all the Khalni Garden (BG/Jund) I came across, that it doesn't do much against Chrysalis, and Avenging Hunter with Initiative. So, in my book Locker + Breath + Moment's Peace is enough? Even tough Poison Storm isn't that strong I like the dice farm style. I build it on paper. The only thing I miss right now, are the Breath Weapons - there might be a budget version Fiery Cannonade. Is there any reason why Breath over Fiery? Because of the Goblin, Pirates? Or doesn't it matter actually?

I love this deck! It was my first pauper deck and instill follow and upgrade it every now and then, but before the video started i thought “ what will this deck do against glee? “ and the answer came on g1… it’s a very hard matchup and there’s to many glee on the meta 😔. Another topic, have you ever considered using mystic remora? I feel it might be interesting…
