HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

Two things Trevor: 1) I love that you're so fearless when speaking in a foreign language. Although pronunciation may be a little off but I can understand you. Applauds to u bc I'd be to timid to even try to speak even tho I know. 2) It's fantastic to see Ying in ur videos. Awesome to hear another person's opinion on food in same video. Keep up the great work!

I think that is how you get good at languages, not just studying from books or in a classroom. You have to get out there and talk and yes make some bad mistakes sometimes. Things stick in your mind much easier when you learn words in the context of real life.

Hi Trevor! So if u going to travel to Sai Gon next i recommend these places for foodXD!!! 1/ Bún Bò Huế(89 Huỳnh Tịnh Của St,dis3) 2/Banh canh cua Ut Le(204-210 Tô Hiến Thành St,Dis 10) 3/Bún Thịt Nướng,Bánh Mì Hấp(195 Cô Giang st,dis 1) 4/Bún Riêu(66 Nguyễn Thái Bình St, dis1) 5/Ốc Thảo- seafood(99 Vĩnh Khanh Street,dis 4) 6/Cơm Tấm(this dish is sold everywhere in Sai Gon, but i think u should go to Tân Định Market for it? Snack 1/Bánh tráng cuốn Bà Bắc(40 11th Street, Dis 4) 2/ Chè Hà Ký (châu văn liêm St, Dis 5, many chinese people are living in dis 5 so i think its not a problem for u to communicate haha XD) And many many more dishes and snacks are around big market like Tân Định market, Nguyễn Thái Bình market,Bàn Cờ market, Xóm Chiếu market,Hòa Hưng market,... There are some around Bến Thành market too but i wouldnt recomend you go there since you are likely gonna get rib off by the sellers :'( Anyway love your videos so much XD Hope to see you one day mate XD

agreed, he said 7:08 "chao chu" to the lady, and "chu" is for a man. Should say " co^ " here. but I think it's fine for foreigners as they're learning the language. And here's a funny translation I learned a few years back, 1. Request means "yeu cau^`" and a direct translation back to English means "love toilet" if you translate the individual words rather than the 2 words. haha
@boomshakalaka4157 жыл бұрын
Agreed but you should give him phonetic pronunciation not just spelling. For example, bún chả (vermicelli grilled pork) is pronounced "BOON JA". Even spoken without proper tones is acceptable for foreigners. Cá (fish) is pronounced "GA" with high tone.

Vietnamese street food looks much more hygienic than India's
@christinatran33547 жыл бұрын
Yes of course. India is far behind and way way under-developed, OK? Vietnam food is very close to Thai street food! So do not even compare Vietnam and India because the 2 countries are simply at 2 way different levels!!!
@KhanhPham-bb4uw7 жыл бұрын
I don't know if it is me or your comment seems really ignorant and arrogant. It is true that the cost of living in Vietnam is higher than in India, but Vietnam isn't that much more developed than India. In fact, India's GDP per capita is above 7000, whereas Vietnam's is only $6925.

Khanh Pham yeah and what is Vietnam's population compared to India's. The gdp doesn't count if you have many more people.

Yeah, I've seen some vendors use gloves even!

Dakota Larney gdp per capita is gdp/population it's literally the average portion of the country's gdp a citizen receives

Is it just me or are the workers lowkey being really rude? I've seen other food vlogs in Vietnam and the people are just very gracious and kind. With Trevor however, not so much. I kinda feel bad for him because he's so awkward with communication.
@khacmanh225117 жыл бұрын
Anthony Tran workers in Hanoi, espcially on the street are rude af, it is rather sad really. Yes I'm a proud Hanoian, but we still have a long way to go regard hospitality service.

It's understandable, I remember long ago my English wasn't that good I was terrified of dealing with American people when I first landed in the US. It's inevitable as well here for the locals to interact with Trevor. Next generation, perhaps?

Where in Hanoi did you stay? I envy the variety of street food that you ere able to enjoy. We stayed in the Old Quarter at Posh hotel but there was only a limited variety of street food; so most of the time we had pho. They were delicious but in a sense I was disappointed because I was. Really looking forward to tasting a whole gamut of different North Vietnamese cuisine.

The Bun Cha is similar to the Bún thịt nướng we get here from the southern Vietnamese that settled here in OKC. I have it often in summer.

Give your girlfriend more camera time. She deserves it from a long time now. Consider also a separate rating for her as you have done for your guests in previous videos.
