France is one place you don't show up late for dinner if you want to eat. That pizza did look amazing though 😋 If that Casio had water in it, something was probably wrong with it. They are usually pretty good in the water. Lots of good finds. You should go back. The bottom was perfect for metal detecting.

Hello Nora. great hunt ! Pampelone was a landing beach in 1944. Lots of aluminum waste. The old coin is from Switzerland and still the currency in Switzerland.I’ll be at this place Sunday morning for a detection hunt.

That pizza did look really good, I think that metal tube thing is a paint pen, great find with the watch even if it doesn't work, it shouldn't be too hard to get it fixed.

Your old coin is a WWII Era Vichy France one franc coin last made in 1944 and is made of aluminum. The 1987 franc is Swiss and is still good, worth about $1.00 US.

Most people associate Casio at a reasonable watch between 30 to 120. However they also make high end watches including dive watches with Tables. From my perspective at the price they ask it’s better to get a Shearwater at about the same price which is the Gold Standard amount Tech dives.

Hi Nora, the aluminum is slag. Impurities removed during the smelting process. The other thing, the aluminum one with the plastic top is a paint marker.

Another great hunt Nora, Yes I heard the "Now charge me" Beep on the Excal. It is annoying, but getting 9 hours out of one charge you are doing fine. Yes hit that beach again, there has got to be gold there. Persevere. I found a Casio G-Shock the other day, no water in it but the battery is dead. They will charge 150 dollars to put a new battery in it, no way. Nice looking water there, I would be in it all day if I had a chance. Cheers Brad

Melted aluminum is probably from fires on the beach. Tide washes the melted cans out to Sea.

The Casio edifice you found isn't to expensive to buy,I'm sure that particular model is around £140 in English money.As it had water in it,it wouldn't be worth fixing so the guy that owned it probably threw it in the drink(sea). Great video as always,,look forward to the next..
