As someone who works customer service at a major retail chain, I hate having to ask customers if they want to sign up for our free rewards program. The company I work for, in the last 6 months, has cracked down on us to sign EVERY single customer up for rewards. I literally ask once, and if they tell me they don't have an account, then I drop it. I've gotten told not to do that and to convince customers to sign up,, but like I don't feel comfortable basically forcing them to sign up. It's hard working in customer service 😬

I used to work retail and we were 100% told to ask those questions, but you don’t keep asking a million times after the customer has already said NO. Take the no and drop it.
