On analysis: Did you feel the $1800 bet was too small? (you did have the firetruck which drew some disrespect for a small raise) And maybe you didn't have enough respect for Fred Flintstone's very strong bet on the turn? (IMHO: AQ is one of the toughest hands to play.)

I love that the other players cards are covered from view with that black bar AND the equity of Andrews hand is also covered which is great. Super small nit pick about the equity is that it’s not covered during preflop action.
@strachanist2 ай бұрын
That's a known percentage since no other cards have been played. That's why he shows them.
@handle13372 ай бұрын
@@strachanist It gives information and I know I could just try and not look, but I end up looking anyways. For example though, if I see Andrew has KK and he has 18% equity preflop vs 1 player, I would be able to deduce the other player has AA.

I agree with your observation about "VPIP." Sure, it is useful when the sample size is considerable. But, it is very common to go card-dead over a few hundred hands. You can get 7-2's, 8-3's, 9-4's, 10-5's, for several consecutive HOURS, with just an occasional small pocket pair, or suited connector.

Hope your dad is doing better and continues to get stronger. I enjoy watching you and a few other bloggers to get my Poker fix on and live through you. I recently called it on my poker career/hobby. Recently lost an amount I couldn’t afford, and I am feeling it right now. (Compare to most it was not much $2300.00) I had limited myself to just playing live by doing Self Exclusion on ALL the online sites. Lifetime Bans. I recently found out you can do the same thing at live casinos. So, I did the same thing at the casino I played at. They only offered a 5 year but took it. But it was only for that casino. It didn’t take me long to find somewhere else to play close by. The stakes were a bit higher than I was used to, but the players didn’t seem strong. Anyway, I talked my self into it and over 5 session lost more then I could afford. They offered a lifetime ban and it covers all of California where I live. Obviously, I could jump over to Vegas, but it is not as simple. I love the game but don’t have the time to put in the study and can’t afford to keep losing. Spend more time mad when playing then enjoying. Back to Fishing, in lake that is 😊

Best of luck with the actual fish, Mark. I give you props for taking the necessary steps and hope you stick to it in all forms. This game can be tough and over time will only continue to get tougher. Hmmm, should I start a fishing vlog?

Interesting body language from Flintstone at the end with the heavy breathing and playing with his chips. It’s either one of two things: 1) he’s pretending to look terrified to induce a call or 2) he’s legitimately excited that he has a monster and he’s trying (but not succeeding) to rein it in Shows you how a “tell” like this can be misleading, or simply not be a clear indicator of what’s going on.
