One of the factors can be how it's often the same group of players, spending WAY too much time together, until they get sick of each other. (I go to my local casino's cash game maybe once every 3 months, and I always get that vibe . I see them 4 times a year, they see each other 3-4 times per week).
@johnkemp9835Ай бұрын
I know exactly what you mean. At my casino, there's a couple of old-timers with the short stacks (one of whom's got that 1 or 9 seat locked up), at least one of the bored hooded hot-shots holding the front over his mouth every time he's in a hand, a used car salesman dressed up in Purina checkerboard slacks and Foster Grant wraparound sunglasses, an Asian woman of indeterminant age, and a genuine cowboy. can someone explain what slow rolling is in poker? i looked it up and im seeing a lot of people fighting both sides of "acting like you're bluffing so they bet against a fake bluff" vs. "your opponent has a weak hand and shows it, you act like you're going to lose so they bet high, then show them a winning hand"
@fizz3000Ай бұрын
its more of the second one. but instead of opponent betting big, the winner shows his card late, acting like he lost
@dylanleaks1542Ай бұрын
Slow rolling refers to having a strong hand, maybe the best possible hand, and intentionally trying to be the last person to show your hand. Usually makes your opponent think they’ve won since you’re reluctant to show. It’s often used as a psychological needle to make opponents mad and play worse
@gluemuncher198627 күн бұрын

Matusow back to the family furniture store. Nothing wrong with playing high stakes poker, but you need to understand what high stakes means. Just playing large values really isn't high stakes. High stakes is a relative term. It really means how much you are risking relative to how much you have. If you are risking your entire net worth than it is high stakes. If you are risking 100,000 but you have over 10 million, then it really isn't high stakes.
