i agree with you i think you need a plate under the trunk lid. it'll probably prevent your trunk lid from tearing and would make your wing not move as much.

If you use them B type end plates, and then match the aggressive look with a really aggressive rear diffuser, the end plates would look really good matched with it.

I use a baseball bat in between tire and fender and get a buddy to just drive forward and back and it does a roll & pull if you hold the bat right, then I sand, primer, and do paint touch up as necessary.
