Our favorite plants to grow and eat are winter squash! A heavy frost is in the forecast, so we had to harvest our pumpkins and winter squash. Many varieties will store until the end of winter. These will feed us all winter long!

I just found your channel & subscribed! What a wonderful harvest. I love delicata squash ( the one you had baked)! We buy our squash at a local farm by the bushel and it stores well over the winter. I would love to have a garden like that. You are living my dream! How much land do you have, and where are you located?

Delicata is my favorite! We have 16 acres but half is forest. I'm in Washington state, south of the olympic mountains almost in the middle of nowhere 😁 The first 30+ years of my life I lived in the suburbs on the east coast. This has always been my dream

What variety of gourd were the first ones at the start of the video? they are so cool looking. Amazing harvest, a lot of work had to have been put in so it's nice to have such a harvest as reward for all the hard work!

Thank you so much! Those first gourds are called "Autumn Wings Gourds" and I found the seeds at Territorial seeds. A few plants made so many!

Such a beautiful variety of squash and gourds! ❤❤ What is the temperature of your greenhouse day vs. night? Thanks!
@quackersplatfarm7 ай бұрын
It reached 80F in the daytime, but nights got to 35F. The actual outdoor temperature was in the low 20s 🥶 At night I covered the squash with blankets just incase. It's not a heated greenhouse, but it's the best I can do for curing!

First off great choice of music. Looks like your harvest was bountiful. While watching I thought where in the world will you put all of them to cure...thoughts were answered. The Greenhouse of course!!!! Timing is everything. How exciting! This was certainly a Vit D day for all. I have to admit there were some squash I do not recognize. Some of them looked like gourds...like the ones the American Indians used to drink water out of. Thank you for sharing...

Thank you! Yes, the first ones that K picked were gourds... we have them decorating the tops of our kitchen cabinets. Many of the winter squash are new to us this year, I can't wait to taste them!

Most of the seeds I use are from Ed Hume. I also buy some from Territorial and Baker Creek.
