Part 8 Video final leg of the The Solent Way It continues from the Northern Edge of Portsea Island at Hilsea, returning to Langstone Harbour and on around the banks of Chichester Harbour to finish at the town of Emsworth
Highlights of my part 8 walk along The Solent Way is one of the most picturesque walks in Hampshire, taking in views of the Hampshire countryside, Solent and Isle of Wight. The route is 60 miles and stretches from Milford on Sea to Emsworth which is at the top of Chichester Harbour. The Bournemouth Coast Path links up with The Solent Way from Christchurch via Mudeford Quay Part 2 video it’s already live on my channel
Much of the path following the Hampshire coast line and passing through the New Forest. Through most of it's length stunning views of the beautiful Isle of Wight, just a few miles off the Hampshire Coast. The route crosses coastal marshes to Lymington before going inland and past the heaths, woods and villages of the New Forest, Bucklers Hard and Beautiful village of Beaulieu to reach Hythe on the Test Estuary. The ferry is taken to Southampton from where it follows the Solent shoreline, crossing the River Hamble to reach Portsmouth via the Gosport ferry. It continues along the historic waterfront of Portsmouth and Southsea and passes the coastal marshes and quays around Langstone Harbour. Part 8 Video final leg of the The Solent Way Located on the Eastney Peninsula in Langstone Harbour It continues from the Northern Edge of Portsea Island at Hilsea, returning to Langstone Harbour and crossing the bridge back onto the main land and on to Farlington Marshes. The path rounds the unspoilt marshes then continues on the banks of Langstone Harbour to skirt the edge of Havant before coming to the beautiful village of Langstone, by the bridge to Hayling Island, and on around the banks of Chichester Harbour to finish at the town of Emsworth on the Sussex border, the end of the Solent Way
Langstone Harbour between Eastney Point, follows the eastern edge of Langstone Harbour Located on the Eastney Peninsula in Langstone Harbour, there are the sheltered waters and tidal inlets of Langstone Harbour to explore, The walk along the edge of the harbour is very pleasant, offering lovely views of the many boats in the harbour and of Hayling Island on the opposite bank of the harbour or Chichester Harbour with its stunning countryside views and sandy anchorages

A 14-mile Langstone Harbour Waterside Walk can be enjoyed, starting from Ferry Point Eastney, around the whole loop of Langstone Harbour, using the Ferry to return. Emsworth is a small town in Hampshire on the south coast of England, near the border of West Sussex. It lies at the north end of an arm of Chichester Harbour, a large and shallow inlet from the English Channel and is equidistant between Portsmouth and Chichester. Premier Marinas' Chichester Marina is located on the South Coast at the eastern end of Chichester Harbour, just 4 miles from Chichester's City Centre. Emsworth Yacht Harbour is a family-owned marina located at the northern end of Chichester Harbour, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a short walk into the village of Emsworth which has a range of independent shops, restaurants and pubs.
