Thanks for posting. My gran would have been 6 years old in 1926 in Lochgelly. I should imagine some of these would have been well kent faces to her. I remember her talking about booing the Dundee police coming up the brae during the 26 strike. Her dad was a miner who was blacklisted after his involvement during the strike. He’d been in ww1 and had been awarded the DCM for gallantry. It was a hard childhood for her but she spoke of it with such warmth.

Thanks for posting that film. That was the film Tam Timmons made back in the 20s and 30s. I remember seeing that once when it was shown in the old Cinema de Luxe - probably during the mid 70's or so.

My dad and my uncle James was raised in lochgelly ,dad was born in 1934 ,I never got to meet my dad's mum and dad aka swan ,I know my granny's first name was Annie but I can't remember what my grandads name was they died when my dad was 16 years old ,I no that my granny Annie died young with diabetes,so sad I would have love to have met them ,I'm sure it was tough ,but as they say .....just get on with it ..
