@Kelly Sanders I didn’t know that lol. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised because most of the movies and shows back then had people smoking and drinking hard liquor in short glasses. I remember my doctor smoking in the examining room back in the day when every elevator had an ashtray between the doors before hopping on it. The 70’s and 80’s gave us laid back smoking drunks and the new millennia gives us cry babies who feel their lot in life is to constantly whine and be offended. Looking back in retrospect I’ll take the smoke smelling drunks over today’s lot anyday of the week.

you just said the word yourself; ANGRY, which is exactly what the millennial generation is apparently, but All of the public only has it self to blame for being sucked into chronic i-phone use 20 years ago, which has apparently caused more anger and brain/perception damage than anything, and that's exactly what they were designed to by Bill Gates and the rest of the technocrat cult, to put us further into Agenda 21. if you think this latest madness of covid was random, then you are still in the dark about much. they didn't ban David Icke from his YT channel in spring 2020 for no reason, and you could look up the book called Agenda 21 the cult wrote themselves, which is exactly how stupid they think people have become.

I give Hefner all the credit in the world for going on a show like this. Today governments, corporations all cower in fear the moment they're confronted with unflattering information, make excuses to run, avoid answering, etc., rather than stand up and face challenges such as what Hefner subjected himself to here, when he could have easily refused an invitation like this. Regardless beliefs, at least he's got the backbone to look someone in the eye and face them.

I would say that those two women are strong women. Because there standing up for women's right's. They feel they have been treated unfairly and unjust. And I agree on that one. But just because somebody don't agree with you don't give you the right to talk over them. We as a people have alway's been this way. Not all of us but at the same time pretty much. A lot of us wan't to be right even though we are not alway's right. I feel that we are so divided. It was never funny to begin with. Like take me for example iv'e been riding the bus for year's now. And now I don't wan't to anymore. Because of the negative attitude that i get from bus drivers. They treat me how ever they wan't. And I'm suppose to shut up and take it. Now I'm not trying to play the victim card. I just wan't to be treated with respect. Just like everybody else. And now that this new disease has hit surfice. It's just revealing something that has been already broken for who know's how long😒.

Unfortunately, people with short attention spans find the idea of civility, boring. Since the seventies, the average attention span has, indeed, shrunk. There's scientific research to back it up, too. People don't want to hear deep, intellectual discussions. They wany Maury and Steve Wilkos and Judge Judy. It's a shame, really. If shows, today, were like Cavett, I might actually still watch network TV.

This is one of the few times in my life as a young man I’ve pondered and given thought to something a women’s activist has said. The sheer education and wit of these gals speaks for them. They don’t have to be loud, or interrupt either. Amazingly done.

Back when men didn't create whole brands and podcasts around the premise of putting down women, women weren't brought into a hostile environment where they were intentionally pushed into a state of defending themselves. Notice that the men aren't ranking over the women either. And Dick Cavett is actually asking questions and mediating the conversation. The women are free to express their opinions calmly as they are not interrupted. And so they don't interrupt the men. The reason there is so much yelling and screaming nowadays is because the environment itself creates tension and noise for entertainment. Because the culture is about "dunking" and not talking.

For instance, I see that Mo-lester meant the pun and not the act itself. That's like two different dimensions with different properties. If you think about it, children are easily entertained and they also have "low standards" for being entertained. That's actually a gateway to a life filled with greater playfulness. If something happened that changed your mind seemingly forever, I want you to know that it's alright, that there is no need for judgement, fundamentally, of any kind, of you or me or any person, and I wish you a far greater freedom which doesn't limit your perception to any particular thing.

Textbook Trotskyite strategy is to slowly overwhelm the institutions- the press, schools and education, religion etc- and eventually use them to destroy platforms for public discourse. At that point reasonable conversations like these no longer can exist. At this point anyone who dares to have them can simply be shouted down. The whole goal was plainly stated in the beginning of this video- to change education to eventually remove the current political and social structure from power. This is the strategy revolutionary Marxists have used - in areas against which they couldn't outright coup- in country after country after country.
@nick-dq1hh
@nick-dq1hh 4 жыл бұрын
Andrew Sickafoose I like how you know the entire U.S. through a computer screen. Reasonable conversations happen all the time. Reasonable conversations are less likely to happen in areas of conflict, like a college, college town, high LGBT population. And those people are the way they are because of current culture, not because of some underbelly of silencing opposition. And because the underlying message has real meaning and merit, even if they do not approach the issue with grace. That happens with extremist groups and people, not everyone. Current culture influences all of it. And the last generation that raised us doesn’t get a get out of jail free card. They let the TVs and computers raise the kids, then wondered why they turned out the way they did, while their parents were far more disciplined and had their kids the ability hardened by making them get out of the house. Everyone is influenced by society, the children are a result of the people before them at the same time. So everyone is at fault

It's a treat to see how people interacted and spoke back in the 70s. It seems...softer and more measured. Even that brunette with short hair, though a forceful speaker, still kept her composure for the most part. 20 years later, we'd have _Jerry Springer_ rage fests!

Hugh Hefner may be ‘her enemy’ but she has to remember that nobody put a gun to ALL OF THE women who went to him to become ‘bunnies’ in his clubs and get paid what other women couldn’t. That could be the real problem for these women, the fact that women enjoyed it, seeked it out, made money and bought houses. Whereas she had to get married for half a house for which she worked anyway. Baffling how she thinks he forced women, its those women who wanted it. She should just respect THEIR choices.

@Powertuber1000
@Powertuber1000 4 жыл бұрын
@wildebest I don't believe you understand the meaning of the word. This is precisely why matriarchies never existed (Definition: a society built, led and controlled by women with males following) This would be a totally impossible scenario for human existence. This is why to a certain extent for a successful society to exist women should be partially subjugated (by man). A non-patriarchal system does not mean matriarchal, this includes 'equalitarian' systems, academics exclude them from matriarchies strictly defined. Males still take the leadership roles in these equalitarian (more equal) societies and create all of the structural and non-structural foundations.
@Powertuber1000
@Powertuber1000 4 жыл бұрын
@wildebest Women are biological beings, while men are both the physical and the cerebral. Those who don't create or defend civilization (i.e., women) cannot control it, even if allowed, for that would be societal suicide. The female contribution to civilization was reproductive and as man's helper. The male contribution to civilization was primarily cerebral, exploratory, and innovative; his reproductive influence was not primary to his being as with the female. The value of the male is his superior intellect and strength, his more visual, spatial, and analytically superior mind. The male is the creator of civilizations. The female contribution to civilization was reproduction as a child caregiver and again as man's helper.

"There's nothing exceptional about being a freelance writer or a reporter. All kinds of mediocre people do that. It's just that we are women and that's what makes it some kind of special." Man, this hit me on so many levels. This was what feminism started out as, the need to be treated equal as opposed to what the belief is nowadays where women who *claim* to be feminists *want* to be treated special for achieving things any mediocre person can do.
