I have NEVER missed a character as much as I miss Dr Greg House. He felt so relatable & damaged. But the thing that made the show endless, was the way they portrayed PAIN. So many ppl around the world are in pain, & no one has better yet addressed this subject that has until now, been shunned away from TV & Film. And I'm not talking about the cheesy goth brooding psychological pain. I mean true physical pain that doesn't go away. Ever. Huge Laurie is one of those hidden treasures, like Robin Williams, who is miscast in Goofty, temporary, roles playing a stupid character for giggles. And yet when they play a serious role, they have the power to bring you to tears. Only House does this. Sorry, but as good as Games of Thrones is, I am not going to cry over a dragon!! House, like all of us, feels lost, fragile, fed up, exhausted, & yet has to be brave enough to connect with other people just enough to do his job, & take pleasures where he finds them. Miss him so so much.

I saw the show before I had chronic pain, but those parts of the show come back to me now, on occasion. I wish there were more shows that depicted what I go through, but thank whatever for accurate portrayal of how complex it really is. You're right-House nailed it. Props to them for addressing the subject at all, let alone how ahead of their time they were. Cheers

As wonderful as Hugh Laurie was as House... he'll always be Bertie to me. And sometimes have Bits of Fry with him as well.

Imho the whole series of House worked all those years because of him, his intensity and deepness.

Laurie is fantastic in concerts, he played every instrument on stage... it was the TV show Band... Jesse Spencer from House, Matt Bendik... who has sadly passed away, from the show Glee... there were several other actors/musicians..All played amazing!!!

Such a great actor. His Wooster, his characters in the Black Adder, in Sense and Sensibility, House, The Night Manager. A very interesting person with a great personality. Also a musician and writer.

its just amuses me, that... the vicodin worked and his legs now work!!!!!
@thespexks25657 жыл бұрын
Shanaz Rahman I hope you know that Hugh Laurie doesn’t actually have a leg problem that was just for his character that he used a cane
@metinbahtiyar79076 жыл бұрын
vicodin is painkiller babe not a medicine that makes leg muscle this aint funny and accurate.
@Punk3rGirl6 жыл бұрын
Shanaz Rahman the Vicodin was never meant to cure his leg. It’s just a painkiller. House would still be missing leg muscle.

Funnily, Hugh actually had a limp after a while, but on the other side than in the show due to walking on one side only on set.

Just hearing him talk and saying "I can't imagine why it's so popular since it's such a densely worded show" and I just thought: well I guess different aspects of it appeal to different audiences. I remember when I was a kid (around 8/9) I accidentally saw an episode and I didn't even understand anything that was going on yet it intrigued me, the case, how it happened etc and this was like way in the show (definitely somewhere between season 5-8) and that made me remember it 10 years later. Because of that one episode I wanted to watch the show for years...till I finally did (almost finished season 4) It's so intriguing watching Hugh Laurie in real life. It's also funny and I love his natural sarcasm... It's all just so intriguing and interesting.

I always watch every House episode 3 times: the original, the czech dub (my mother tongue), cause I'm curious how good a job our boys did and slovak, because hearing House swear in that glorious language makes it even funnier than the original.
