You could see what happened here. When the hook came back to his body, the ref's arm was there which prised the shoulder joint away from the socket.

Hughie has a lovely left hand. Fast and and accurate enough but needs more variety and power. Hooks and uppercuts are needed. He doesn't throw them. But his right hand is SO slow, telegraphed and wildly off target. Needs work there. Not one right uppercut did I see from him. He must develop and include these punches. Great body movement though, and balance. And he's hard. He took great abuse in there. And it bounced off him. He's got heart as well. The rest can come with training.

Fighters like Peter annoy me soo much. They have the low stance and the power to match but lack any sort of defense. People like Mike Tyson and Joe Frazier were only great fighters through timing and defense. Someone needs to teach modern fighters some fucking head movement and fast!!

@@josephmills-mw2hs none of the small raid-head boxers in modern boxing had tough chins though, thats my point. Tyson and Frazier had great defence and also a chin to back it up if needed. They'd balance their full weight on their head, and grind their head around in circles on the groung for 5mins or more to strengthen the muscles. Modern fighters aren't that smart or dedicated anymore!

Hughie weighs 220lb here, Should put some muscle on I think, maybe 15lb and work on his power, it will compliment his boxing when he jabs hard enough to break them down. I think he's got everything to do really well but its never tied together well enough to really threaten good opponents, as soon as you fight off the back foot you're technically losing/not gaining points for not being the aggressor. Hughie needs to make use of the space he creates defensively and tie his offence into it which will go a very long way to increasing his volume and winning those points, But in my eyes the best boxers don't leave things to decision, I know he's not a powerful hitter, but he could work on that and break people down with unrelenting pressure jabbing away at them and find that stoppage later on. When he finally works out how to tie things together and has that extra power/volume I can't see many people beating him, but right now he's very beatable due to the lack of volume.

Well he loops his right hand and is often too defensive to set down on his punches and follow the right hand with a left hook. He is amazingly skilled and his speed is really really good, but he needs to take better advantage of the angles and the space that he creates. He just needs to stand and fight in spots and he could be a world champion. Turn that brilliant defense into offense.

Peters was gifted two wins against The Great James Toney. He's always been a dirty fighter either intentionally or he's just so poorly skilled he threw rabbit punches all the time. Either way, give it up.
