Gauzy when he goes back to check the footage of the jumping backhand smash to find that the view was obscured by a ball-picker.

That "ball-picker" could easily beat you playing with his left hand! But yeah, bad timing for the highlight reel.

@brandonpatterson5302 Sorry, I guess calling a 5-time Olympian "a ball picker" triggered me a little. I'm a big Chila fan.

Calderano and Gauzy belong to the same team in Germany, so they usually train together.

Gauzy is kind of a wasted talent. I remember when he was a youngster. Didnt he even win france or european junior champions? Sorry its a long time, i think, he did something like that. But cant remember exactly. Glad, if you can correct me! Everybody was like 'he might be the next big french thing'. Then in like 16/17ish he won XuXin in a epic match. Back when Xu was like Nr1. or 2. But after that he didnt really perform well and even lost a lot to lower ranks. In the olympics get got carried to a team medal by the Lebruns. Besides that he didnt show anything significant. Yes, he plays stable TTBL. But many do. And the younger generation (Lebruns, Truls, KallBerg, Lind) kind of stole his show. Aswell as he couldnt keep up with the legacy of the german legends like Dima, Boll or Franz. Maybe Franz is a good compairison, since he has his moments against FZD, Ma Long, WCQ etc. Managed to beat them all, but then lost to lower level europeans. Kind of like Gauzy. Besides he didnt beat that many top chinese players. Franz has quite a resumee!

he said that he had a burnout in like 2020/2021 so it explained why he was losing against low rank players
