Munsterberg does very clearly and interestingly distinguish film from live theater, but he also believed sound (voices and music) would never work with film. I wonder what he would have thought of the talkies in the 20s, to say nothing of today's CGI! Your video is very interesting. Thanks for posting!

Thank you.🙏 amazing as always. How is film distinct from theatre? different experiencing of Depth and Movement. From theatrical stage-like movies to classical continuity editing movies. In D.W. Griffith’s The Lonedale Operator (1911), the idea that you can cut from a wide view to a close-up to simulate the audiences attentions to details. that was a great explanation👍.
