Loving these vids! Cool tips and tricks in each one of them.. Nice trick for fixing the L_grain, I usually fix the white artefacts by using an expression node with: isnan(r)?0:r isnan(g)?0:g isnan(b)?0:b but a quick grade is much quicker, thanks. Your presentation at the CTIAF was awesome btw

Great work Hugo! Any chance to show us your take on treating the edges after keying it specially if the edges too dark or too bright for the BG? That you'll be very cool

Really awesome video! Just found your channel and I love it! Also I have a some questions regarding the "fog pass" you showed at 2:25, how did you create it? is it a default render pass with in redshift? Can VRay create that pass?

This is awesome! I love it a lot. Hope I can see more of this! By the way do you normally edge extend all your keying shots?
@HugosDesk
@HugosDesk 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much mate. No not really, only extend if I need to. In this case we where getting some bad edges so I made that decision.

Phenomenal video again Hugo, thanks for the deconstruction. Could you by any chance share the ColourEdge gizmo with us? It doesn't seem to be up anymore on Nukepedia, sadly enough..

+FlashingHD Sure let me see if I don't forget. Btw any edge extension gizmo will work also. There is a few in NukePedia. Thanks so much for the kind words.

Hi Hugo, thanks for the rundown of the project, I am learning so much from your videos. I have a question regarding the Y fog, I know you guys are using Redshift to render, how was the pass made is there an option in redshift to create such AOV?, thanks in advance!

Great tutorial Hugo! We all really appreciate what you're doing! This is a After Effects related question but I thought maybe you or someone who sees this might now. Is there a tool in AE that does what the "Colour Edge" tool does in Nuke? Thanks!
@HugosDesk
@HugosDesk 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much. Please check out my last videos too. They also deconstruct this project but on other shots. Regarding AE, not sure how to make that effect. Hum, need to check this out. I get back to you if I find it. Made a video is in order. Thanks

Wow Awesome Bro!!!....You were doing lot of color correction and I was wondering how this can be graded in DI and finally you said you never opt for Baselight, so you do all color correction by yourself ... Great!!!!!.
@HugosDesk
@HugosDesk 7 жыл бұрын
+Navin Prabhu Yes since I am directing my own projects I can choice to grade or not grade in a Grading software. I tend to work for long periods of time in each project so I can take the time to make the shots have a grade using all the passes and IDs I have. I call it CG Grading. Using Depths, IDS and grading per channel. I just prefer doing that to just make a grade on top. Seems like a waste of time to grade on top of a final image. Give you a example. When you do a Photoshop poster you don't finish the poster, save it merged and grade on top. You want to grade per layer and use the masks you have.
