Good comparison. Touch is not really a selling point for me so I’d have to say the Huion looks much more appealing with it’s laminated/textured screen and better pen feel. Looking forward to your review of the Huion 24 inch 4k model as well.

I find that using touch with 3D Coat makes a huge difference. Well, for me personally anyway. Being able to rotate quickly around an object that I'm sculpting/painting makes the process so much more enjoyable. I find myself quite frequently wishing Blender had touch input. Hopefully, Blender devs will add that functionality or someone will make an add-on someday soon.

XP-Pen Pros: - Touch display (only really useful on Windows and Android) - Brighter display (needs second USB-C connection to drive past 50% though) - USB-C connections at top of display, reducing the chance of damage when held! - Pen has eraser Cons: - gloss display! - Single set button on pen - Pen sensitivity issues! Huion Pros: - Textured glass display! - Better pen sensitivity! - Second set button on pen! Cons: - No eraser on pen - No touch display (not an issue at all if you're a Mac user) Notes: - Exclamation points indicate a major point. - Other pros/cons concerning accessories are omitted, as these are fixable/changeable after purchase, where as issues with the product itself will be there for the life of the product. One might opt for the XP-Pen if touch is a seriously important to their workflow, otherwise, the Huion seems like the generally superior product.

Great review man! Because I've drawn on iPad / Samsung Note before, not having touch is a huge loss for me. Since traditionally I turn my sketchbook a lot, and being able to pinch to zoom in, out, rotate makes drawing feel like a very organic and seamless experience. I'm able to work so much faster, without the need for shortcuts, buttons, no need to touch a mouse or hotkeys... But the matte screen / textured glass of the Huion and better line accuracy (no wobble) might make me sacrifice the touch. It looks much more premium to draw on. Less fingerprints, and annoying glare. Another option is Wacom Cintiq Pro 13. Very small display ... But similar budget price, and touch.

The pen on XP-PEN looks similar to the one for Parblo Coast16 so XP-PEN might using Hanvon digitizer as same as Coast16 too, from my experience it has the best pen/cursor alignment among "Cintiq alternative" brands but that pen's tip is very sensitive to dust and my pen start to had a problem with the pressure sensitivity at the very light activation force so I was not able to draw comfortably with my prefer pressure amount after few months then I sold my Coast16 for that reason... This pen is a bad choice....

I have no idea why (or explain to people on this channel) you couldn’t just simply hold ‘z’ to scrub zoom and ‘r’ to rotate the canvas- I understand everyone has different ways of working, but using these shortcuts are a by far better workflow solution than the finicky touch. The problem with this review is that you’re trying to promote that not having touch functionality on a tablet makes the user experience “difficult”? Touch is only useful if the damn thing isn’t sluggish and has proper palm rejection such as the ipad.

No one. XP-pen is a poor and uncomfortable cheapest material (screen material ). Kamvas Pro has problems too: position of cursor 3-5 px left from stylus ( I'm left-handed, so 3-5px position was added the 2px more) color problem with rendering picture on screen (sRGB picture on my Mac not the same as in Huion), poor pixelization (I saw pixels on screen). I bought: a Kamvas 16 Plus, and after 4 months, I sold it because I can't normally work on it (uncomfortable work, was constantly tired), then I bought a Kamvas PRO 24, and the situation will not changed. Today work only on Wacom Cintiq 24.
