Great video! It would be great if XPPen could send you the new "Artist Pro 19 Gen2" for you to review as well. I would love to see a side-by-side comparison video between this 19" model from Huion and the new 19" model from XPPen.

I would suspect similar performance but Huion brought the touch.

Would love to see your review of the one mariamo222 mentioned. It doesn’t have touch but it is cheaper and the rest of the specs look so similar.

Oddly enough, I haven’t been in touch with XPPen in awhile. I’ll reach out to them about a review unit.

Great to seeing your perspective on this. Do you know if they are planning on adding any additional sizes to this series besides 19 or 27? I'd love to see a 24" or a 22" with touch with the pen tech 4.0 : )
@CreateNowSleepLater2 ай бұрын
I would imagine that any display going forward would have this pen. I’d imagine they will either do a 22 or 24 at some point.

I wish you could install extra bezels on this cause then it would be perfect. I'm so used to drawing with my iPad and Sketchboard Pro.

How many inches do you usually prefer your screens to be? Do you feel this is too small for things like 3d modeling or comic book making?
@CreateNowSleepLater2 ай бұрын
I like 16”, and 24” are my favorites. I don’t think this is too small at all.

Would you recommend this for someone eyeing the Cintiq 16 pro? I'm wondering if the difference in size would be something for me to consider in the huge purchase I'm pondering; a new pen display, upgrading from a basic intuos drawing tablet I've had for 5 years now. Art is important to me, I want 4K, I want the eraser pen, I want touch, so, the other question, for a window laptop, with a nice GPU, is the touch more responsive on the Huion Kamvas Pro 19 or the Cintiq Pro 16? I'm arm mounting so that matters to me, it seems the Huion has the features I want along with the extra pen, extra nibs and super useful holder/storage case for them, I'm kinda blown away. Your review was as always very in depth and thorough, thank you! I'm also thinking I'd be smart to wait til the black Friday and cyber Monday sales that are around the corner. This device seems perfect, and the extra space to draw that the Kamvas Pro 19, would have over the Cintiq 16 pro is SERIOUSLY tempting me. 👩🎨🎨 But seriously, the gradient on the pen sketch testing was insane!!🤯

In general, I usually recommend getting the biggest pen display you can afford because you can't make it grow bigger. I tested an earlier version of the Cintiq Pro 16, its one of the earlier reviews I ever did and its a great tablet. If we are dealing with the 2021 refresh, they added some hotkeys in the back but it isnt going to be as many as the keydial the Huion comes with. I live off shortcuts but Im using a tourbox now. Im working on that review soon but I dont know if they keydial sways you. I've seen that Cintiq as low as $1k (B&H right now) or so and that Kamvas will go on sale lower. The Wacom drivers are still better. I had to run the Huion in Wintab which is no big deal once you tell your apps to also use it. I think the touch edge goes to Huion although I would expect they improved it over the version I had. Probably a toss up. You'll likely get extra nibs with the Cintiq too and if the slim pen is your hold up, they sell one that works with that model. I reviewed it on the channel, its called the slim pen. If you are waiting till BF, maybe the price is the difference maker. I don't you going to be unhappy either way but cost wise, the Huion is going to be bigger and give you the extra's.

I have this bad boy, and the only thing I wish it came with was a 90 degree usb-c 3-in-one cable so the cables don't stick out awkwardly on the side when on an arm and being used as a secondary monitor.
@CreateNowSleepLater2 ай бұрын
Shoot them an email or a tweet. They are pretty good about feedback. I see what you're saying. You ever see those corner USB C connectors? They are using them on iPhones now to connect to SSDs. I wonder if you could just get a pair of male to female version and achieve the same result.
@deathberry332 ай бұрын
@@CreateNowSleepLater Yeah, I've seen those. Unfortunately, with my PC I have to use the 3-in-one to connect via HDMI through my graphics card (shame Nvidia ditched the usb-c port after the 2080ti) I tried an angled adapter (advertised as 40Gbps etc.) but it just doesn't work, I get power but no display output. It either has to be the 3-in-one or I unplug my graphics card and rely on my CPU's onboard graphics and plug it in motherboard's usb-c/display port out, just like in a laptop.
@CreateNowSleepLater2 ай бұрын
You’re saying the angle adapter doesn’t work on the USB-C side of the tablet? I thought you meant they stick out of the tablet side.

I bought a ThinkPad with a lenovo pen recently, which have quite a lot of wobbling lines. And to be perfectly honest... I realized the wobbling is not quite as much of an issue as I thought it was. I was able to do line work for comics with very little stabilization on it (around 10% in clip studio paint) and the difference with my cintiq 24 pro was not as abyssmal as I thought it was gonna be. And the lenovo pen is kind of a shitty one, so I think people complaining about the miniscule wobble that huion and xp pen recent offerings have are just deluding themselves to justify spending thousands of dollars in their wacom products. I still think wacom is great, but honestly, I wouldn't mind replacing my 24 pro with a huion if anything happens to my wacom.
@CreateNowSleepLater2 ай бұрын
I had all those devices as well. I tested a bunch of the Wacom branded pens for Lenovo on the channel. Its a different tech so I don't compare it 1:1 but its gotten better. I feel the same way about the diagnal lines but I must be in the minority. If I dont do them, I get comments as if somehow I'm cheating. Still for some its make or break so I do them. I was going to replace my Cintiq Pro 24 with the 27" and did an entire video on why I didn't. This wouldn't be an upgrade over it really but if the Cintiq dies. I'm not sure I'm going back. They don't have a newer 24" anyway.
@ragecandy2 ай бұрын
They finally kinda caught up tech wise but the price is really starting to get up there too $2000 for a huion (the 27) is kinda crazy
@CreateNowSleepLater2 ай бұрын
It is. Comparatively, the Cintiq is $3,500 which is stupid crazy. Huion runs better deals so you just need to wait it out. I suspect a 22” or 24” version using this tech soon. All tech went through the roof and never came down it seems.

the thing about huion previous gen specifically the huion kamvas 22 plus most of em only last like 3 years my freinds and i are animators most of there kamvas 22 alreasy broken or starting too i have that 24 plus it works well but if this malfunction then i have to switch back to wacom,.,. my cintiq 22 is alreay in its 6 year i just dont use it because the resolution sucks,. i like my kamvas 24 but i doubt huions durabilty i hope their new gens can last longer cause im looking to upgrade

@@CreateNowSleepLater two of them just broke down screen problems lines, change color or stop working the other one i just talk too like weeks ago his huion only works if the AC is on lol, mine kamvas 24 is working great so im not sure if they built their products like the lower cheap models break down easily or they put some lifespan in to it just a good thing those lower products are cheap 500 dollars range but i what i suspect its the heat that is why i put my setup under the AC

@@krakenn06 Or you are just a sinophobic troll who likes to spread US propaganda about China! I am sorry, but Japanese top innovation hey days are over! Even Japan has not fought off its own past demons. Such a country that cannot even disassociate from the US and never apologizes to the Chinese and the Koreans from what happened during WWII. Even Japan would never apologize for the spread of radiation from Fukushima. FYI, the components in Wacom tablets are made with Chinese technology now.
