Yeah you can get pretty creative with them. I'm toying around with swapping and long and short ones so I can mount my Steam Deck on it.

You are trading a thinner pen for dials. Tech wise, they are pretty close. I’m using the Frego even though I have a Cintiq because I use a tour box now. I don’t need buttons or dials.

I don't know which updae that is but let's take 3.1.4. You will have to pay for the pass to get that and any other feature updates. The only thing you get for free is bug fixes. Thats why the perpetual model is really an annual upgrade model. Every time there is a full new version, they just group together the updates from the year before and add a few more to call it 4.0 for example.

Yeah, they didn't get any better with the newer models and design decisions. I have a couple of videos on the channel about it.

Believe it or not, the default Procreate brushes are pretty good

I’ve read similar. They take told me there was an issue with the tourbox being seen as a HID device. The Bluetooth vendor makes me wonder if the dev cost to the vendor (for no financial incentive) made them give up on it. Yes, they would have kept their promise but promises don’t make money. As I mentioned, I’m doing a full review that features Clip and Davinci so doesn’t influence what I think about the device but another $226 was a lot of beans for functionality I was told I already bought.

I think whatever works for you, that is the winner. For me, Tourbox works with everything and I mount it to that Cintweak I showed in the video. I have a Streamdeck + as well that I use to manage audio but the buttons arent responsive enough for digital art imo. Im actually doing a streaming series for digital artists at some point. Its an a-z series to get up and running. I'll review it around then.

Im still shooting the video for the Tourbox I have. I actually use the dials a ton. For Davinci, I have one set up to zoom the timeline. Then the next one starts playback (forward/reverse). The third is for frame by frame movement for trimming etc. In Clip Studio, I use them for brush size/zoom/rotate but I also use the click function for certain things. I get what you're saying but my opinion changed when I started doing more coloring work and touch started interrupting my workflow instead of helping it. I basically never need to lift the pen or remove my left hang from the Tourbox now. I can also do most of my video editing with the Tourbox and a mouse. I'll cover both use cases in the video. Its the efficiency of it. I don't want to take my left hand and pinch to zoom or rotate when I can just slide to a dial.

You still have the brush in your instance of Clip? If so, it might be easier to just export it and send it to them in a zip file or something.

You plugged what in, the tablet? Did you download the newest driver first?

We have a lot of options as digital artists. I dont who is buying 3k Cintiqs but there is no reason to anymore.

I think the long term issue is when the OS gets updated and it breaks stuff. I’ve also held out. It would be sweet if they had proper hardware acceleration/ gpu support so my PC doesn’t puke when the brush is too big.

His site is universalprints.com but it doesn’t look like the family has it set up to sell. I sent a message to his son to see what’s up. He was know. As the artist of Greenwich village. I’m actually kind of bummed. I didn’t know he passed.

I don't have any specific reason to upgrade from my Cintiq Pro 24 but when I do, I am not paying over 3k for a Wacom. Thats not happening.

It is. Comparatively, the Cintiq is $3,500 which is stupid crazy. Huion runs better deals so you just need to wait it out. I suspect a 22” or 24” version using this tech soon. All tech went through the roof and never came down it seems.

Unfortunately, with my PC I have to use the 3-in-one to connect via HDMI through my graphics card (shame Nvidia ditched the usb-c port after the 2080ti) I tried an angled adapter (advertised as 40Gbps etc.) but it just doesn't work, I get power but no display output. It either has to be the 3-in-one or I unplug my graphics card and rely on my CPU's onboard graphics and plug it in motherboard's usb-c/display port out, just like in a laptop.

You’re saying the angle adapter doesn’t work on the USB-C side of the tablet? I thought you meant they stick out of the tablet side.

Good, hence the light lines in the gradient. Transparently, I find the subject of IAF a bit subjective. For example, most people rate Wacom as the best on the light end but I kind of prefer Huion once I past IAF in throwing down a thicker taper. What I’m saying is, is either need a thicker brush or need to push harder on the Wacom to get the same result.

Under the "reviews" heading in the description, it has the competitors I reviews. Each one of those videos would have the link to Amazon. I just reviewed the Frego which is their newest release.

Also, it should work with any laptop. Just make sure you have the right usb port. Even then, converters are cheap if the model you pick doesn’t come with one.

@@CreateNowSleepLater two of them just broke down screen problems lines, change color or stop working the other one i just talk too like weeks ago his huion only works if the AC is on lol, mine kamvas 24 is working great so im not sure if they built their products like the lower cheap models break down easily or they put some lifespan in to it just a good thing those lower products are cheap 500 dollars range but i what i suspect its the heat that is why i put my setup under the AC
