What a lovely and well-made film. It certainly shows the love that hula haumana have for the hula and the mele and the stories they tell and keep alive.

Well done documentary. Loved it! I've been dancing since I was 4. It's wonderful to see that others outside the islands "get it."

Mahalo ā nui loa for this film. I'm in a place were i can't dance anymore but this film made me remember what the hula meant to me as a Polynesian. So again mahalo ā nui loa for helping me remember. Aloha

I'm a ballet dancer, and I feel hula in my heart; but hula classes are difficult to come by in England. The closest I can find is 'hula hoop classes'! At least there's youtube.

Check out Realhula.com. You can get actual hula lessons on DVD or downloaded video from one of the Halu in Hawaii. I really recommend it!

I'm in the same boat because we rarely have any hula schools in the USA too, including none where I live. I love ballet too but I love hula and tahitian dance more and think that both are underrated.
