Lol true! His triple resource and Banner’s Laboratory may be the only cards that got good use here. But his genius trait was heavily utilized :)

I actually originally planned to take this deck through Venom Goblin. Then I realized Hulk Smash is not an attack card and Hulk has no way to get rid of the Advanced Glider 😅 if not for that I truly believe this deck could do it

Great video as always! Just a small note, when you get Electric Shock from the main scheme’s forced response, you actually have to take 3 damage, not zero, because the magnetic counters are still there until after the card resolves. Wouldn’t have changed the outcome, and otherwise very clean game. Great showcase of Hulk in a very tough scenario, very cool to see

Thanks a lot Hull :) I really appreciate that There was actually an errata on how the Magneto scenario plays. From Hall of Heroes: "No; you should remove the 3 magnet counters first before resolving the Magnetic card you revealed. -Alex"

Oh, cool! That errata makes Magneto a little less brutal. I seem to always get Electric Shock when he mills and that damage can add up

@@axeunknown totally agreed. That’s how i first played Magneto too. Honestly I feel like that’s how he was intended to be played but it could have caused an infinite loop if Metal Shards gets revealed multiple times so in order to fix that they errata’d it.

Hulk strongest one there is! I'll clearly have to use something other than leadership for my Hulkverse vs Magneto when I get there. Given I'm doing all the villains in standard I don't think Magneto will be a huge issue though. Working through videos of the GMW villains at the moment so Magneto won't be on my channel for a while. But you've given me confidence I'll beat Magneto now in the future when it's his turn to get Hulk smashed!

Well done sir! But this highlights my problem with hulk! I dont feel like i ever play a hulk/aspect deck, i feel like its always and aspect/hulk deck 😢

I feel you! Beast grabbing Limitless Strength and building on Banner’s Laboratory with mental resources in AE are some fun synergies, but I agree at the end of the day I think Spidey plays this build better.

Despite my love of Hulk, I always feel (and with Champions in general) I like decks to feel thematic and make sense. It's why I got VillainTheory to build me a thematic Leadership deck of Hulk using going down swinging so that Hulk is basically swinging his allies around like weapons, or why I enjoy a SHIELD Justice build with Hulk as it feels like Hulk is rampaging in a fight while SHIELD is trying to contain the threat (pun intended).

@@CastironPotsI recommend Banner's Band of Scientists and Spies by AncientEpithet on marvelcbd. It's my favourite deck and I believe I've used it a few times on my channel.

Nice Deck ! I copied it for own test, swapping only a energy for Plan B & a Inventivity for Crew Quarter (considering the number of Alter Ego Switch). Nice Video!

Well played! Really enjoy playing the Maria, Nick, Moongirl, Beast recursion decks. Suit up just makes it more consistent I think. I was thinking of putting together a Wasp deck with this archetype. Should work well with her alter ego ability.

@@webwarriorfanatic Yes, there is still a chance for a Magneto pack. The other chance is Beast but after Dark Beast, I doubt it... More probably Magneto.

I'm still newish to the game. At the 8:06 mark, couldn't you use the Helicarrier to pay for Crushing Blow? Am I missing something?

Helicarrier doesn't create a resource, it reads: "Action: Exhaust Helicarrier → choose a player. Reduce the resource cost of the next card that player plays this phase by 1." And, Crushing Blows says: You can only spend (fist) resources to pay for this card. So you cannot reduce its cost to 0 because you must use a physical resource to pay for it. My group and I always made that mistake when we started, it's normal

The way I read it, is that if you're spending resources, they have to be physical, but there isn't a restriction to say that you HAVE to spend any resources. It's a restriction on the type of resource, not on actually spending resources. If it were worded like "You must spend a physical resource to play this card", then you couldn't use hellicarier

Hey guys sorry only able to catch up to messages now. Helicarrier can be used for Crushing Blow like @kaintheabel said. That particular hand was a little unfortunate-Limitless Stamina can only be used in Hero form, Ingenuity can only be played in AE foe Hulk, and Hulk’s forced interrupt: Enraged requires Hulk discard his hand if he ends the turn in hero form. So i could have used Helicarrier if I wanted to, but since i couldn’t play any other cards and can’t hold cards in my hand for next turn, i just used them as resources instead.

Excellent game! However, it did feel like the focus was on leadership and the basic cards. Hulk was present, but not a huge factor. I am guessing you could probably take the same Leadership and basic cards and win on expert with any hero. I may need to copy that aspect for a plug and play.

Thanks David! Thats fair. I definitely agree its not very Hulk style. That being said, I think there are some Hulk-specific synergies! Genius trait for Ingenuity + Moon Girl, then mental resources for all the allies and Banner’s Laboratory to play Moon Girl in AE. Finally Beast is really good to tutor Limitless Stamina, Hulk’s triple resource card!
