Supergirl (kara zor-el) has been and will always be more of a kriptonian than superman (kal-el) because she was alive and lived in kripton 14 earth years before crlack even landed on earth stating that she can absorb and breakdown the suns rays faster making her stronger than superman . And superman knows this is why he keeps her at a teen level in the sense of a Yung person learning how to use her powers. So that she won't loose control . She doesn't have the level of understanding of the earth like he does. she endured the loss of her family and planet.
