A24 is for 24gram loads, what you have is the Aquila powder, manufactured by NSI for Cheddite. Aquila comes in various versions, with a difference in how progressive each one is is. More progressive means it is designed for heavier loads. For 32grams it means it is the normal Aquila.

You should state that back bored guns are not ideal for fibre wad cartridges as they don't give a good gas seal. Fibre needs standard bored guns.

Hi! Would be interested to see your opinion on the Italian cartridges Bornaghi and Pegorarro. My clay ground is run by an Italian family who have ran pattern and chrono on them and much more consistent than any of the Hulls. I use the Bornaghi 28g #7.5 for clays and much more consistent than Eley or Hull from my experience. I’ve just bought some Bornaghi Special 32g #6 12G and Pegorarro 28g #6 20G for my first game day under the recommendation from a few of the seasoned members. Thanks.

@@IRateGuns I have been really impressed with the pattern and chrono for the Bornaghi especially their 28g 7.5 sporting cartridge. I think you should try get a hold of some and see what you think? Very reasonably priced too. Got a slab of their 32g #6 for some pheasant shooting next weekend.

I took some 36gr 4 on a high pheasant day in wales end of season they were very disappointing, shot what I had left at flighting crows again not impressed, there 32g 5's are awesome but not a patch on Gamebore Darkstorm they are cannon loads and much softer to shoot and your barrels are clean unlike Hull.

Lewis Back bored over & unders have oversized bores so the fibre wads dont seal the gasses. Apparently the new Hull hydrowad equivalent is the way to go as it seals the bore. Friends have pattern tested the Hull hydrowad in overbored barrels and the patterns were pretty good,
