A very well knitted interview by Hassan. It really takes a lot of courage to sit infront of such an amazing, talented and heart throbbed actor Mahira Khan. I have never respected her acting journey as much as one would appreciate her acting after watching 'hum kahan k sachy thy' and 'aik hy niggar'. She has become a seasoned actor who has given so much to Pakistani entertainment industry. A thorogh actor who gas proven her skills on screen and out of screen For the first time, i have seen her defending herself for the very first time. That's so important because in today's world everyone is opinionated but when it comes to celebrities, they always played it safe either by keeping quiet or by completely ignoring on screen to show thet have thick skin. But it was so satisfying to see Mahira Khan firmly standing with her characterisations and being unapologetic about it. I totally agree with her when she firmly and unapologetically acknowledged her characters.

I am not a die-hard fan of hers but when she got emotional, I felt like telling her how loved she is by her fans. Hope she does not forget that while she deals with negativity. Internet is a nasty place, I see so many of these famous people now getting to a point where it's too much to bear. I had seen Shahrukh Khan saying something similar in one press conference that "jisko b kuch kehna hota hai meray naam say keh deta hai". This interview was much awaited. Hats off to Mahira Khan. She is a wonderful lady cuz she speaks her heart and doesn't do cheap stunts in any of her interview just to get the PR. How Sad of those who take on her name jst to get the high ratings. She has done amazing job with Nigar and mehreen both characters. But this is also true that the story of HKKT doesn't make sense at many points. Indeed, it is sad reality and exists in many of the families in our society. But again, we expect from our writers that they should write great & courageous women roles to fight the barriers they face in their lives. This way our women will get more strength & inspiration to move forward in their lives. If u want to bring positive change in our society, first show that how it looks like to be.. ❤✌ People become that what they see on media. I haven’t ever been a fan of Mahira the actor, as I always thought she was more natural as a VJ, but one thing I will say is; the way she so beautifully mentioned how she got Raees without throwing direct shade at Iman Aly (who claims she was ‘offered’ it first) is the reason she is Mahira Khan the superstar. The whole issue with HKKST is that they have materially changed the drama from the novel. Aswad and Mehreen never loved each other in the novel. It was hatred and rivalry between them. So maybe it was just easier to understand the novel. It got all complicated when they made mehreen fall in love with Aswad in the drama

1:07:21 this sums up my feelings about this drama pretty well, so thank you Hassan! Another flaw is how Saffan casually exits the situation by acting completely out of character. It’s just like what Azkas brother does in Ishq e laa. He’s so loving and trusts his sister yet he doesn’t bat an eye to his wife’s words and arranges the wedding. Azka was clearly upset and because of the bond she has with her brother, he should have believed her, but he doesn’t because the drama had to move on. We called it out in Ishq e laa, and we should definitely call out this flaw in HKKST when Saffan, an extremely loving and caring person in Mehreens life casually exits because of one mishap at the engagement. The same guy didn’t even ask Mehreen if she’s innocent because he loved and trusted her THAT much. This to me is nothing but a flaw in writing. People do change, but not this suddenly and drastically - in both cases I’ve mentioned it was unfortunately done by the writer to move the drama forward.

Posted this on the first upload but I’ll say it again: PLEASE don’t do another drama where you play a bechari stuck in a cousin marriage lol 😂. Yeah the performance is good and everybody can see this. I mean she nailed her role in HKKST and Humsafar and basically every drama she does. But they all have one thing in common: BECHARI and/or cousin marriages. I like that each drama highlights something new about households and toxic environments. But the main thing people criticize about Mahira’a work is exactly this - she does the same toxic love story repeatedly, with a slightly different plot. I loved Humsafar, but what was the crux of the story? She gets stuck in a FORCED (and therefore haram as well) cousin marriage because of emotional blackmail and a dying mother and learns to live with it. The bonding she forms with Asher in the drama is what makes it so amazing and loveable. This is the plot of every other drama in Pakistan today, but because of the execution, Humsafar stands out. But what’s so different about Bin roye, Sadqay Tumhare and now HKKST? The execution is always great, but it’s the same toxic cousin love story where Mahira’a character is being trampled either by her saas or even her husband. We want to see roles like Nigar, which showed a strong working woman who finds happiness without getting trapped in a toxic love story. It was so refreshing to see her in that role, but it’s a shame that she doesn’t take on any TV roles like this. She could even play a negative role like Ayeza’s in Meray Paas Tum Ho or a role like Saba’s in Cheekh or Baaghi because we know she has the skill to do so. Not to be taken negatively because I truly appreciate her work and acting skills, but she needs to diversify her characters because the audience can see her range of work.

I love the bond she shares with her family and relatives. Tells a lot about a person. I have always been a fan of Mahira since the VJ times and she has never disappointed with any of her performance. In our countries, we have this culture of worshipping the celebrities, put them in pedestal, we also drop them like hot potatoes.. happens to every successful person, from any field..! With Mahira, I’ve always found her go overboard with praising others.. she takes over & has to say something for someone, sometimes it shifts the focus on mahira from the person’s achievements! She doesn’t realise that she should just let people be & not overshadow them. I’d say, she should take a leaf off of Katrina Kaif’s life .. Zara acted badly...the way novel was written,she literally did more than justice to chracter...she did her job the way it was supposed to be..it could be annoying or cringe but she stayed in line

Just started watching the interview, the thing I like about Mahira khan, apart from the fact how spectacular she looks and is, is how she manages to change her body language completely in front of the camera while acting! She fidgets, she moves a LOT, laughs a lot, wears so many expressions while talking but so contained and particular when performing! She wouldn't move unnecessarily while acting, I mean wow! I am watching hkkst, Usman Mukhtar is a brilliant actor but he is the same person everywhere! A fantastic performer but somehow monotonous! The same seriousness everywhere. But Mahira on the other hand knows or is probably gifted with it. Dont mean to hurt or offend anyone! Love our Pakistani heroes! Love 🇵🇰❤

I am not judgmental at all but guess haven't seen a lot of his performances, so yea passed an unjust remark. Sorry. The prank call is hilarious! They should create a character especially for him where the audience can see him doing something totally different!

I think Mahira did a great job as Mehreen . We have these toxic people like Aswad in our society . Instead of criticising our actors we should laud their efforts. What I would like to see is healing of Aswad and Mehreen reaching a point of closure to her early traumas and leading a respectable life henceforth as an artist ,debator and as a healer

Why is it unbelievable or not understandable for audience why Meereen masoor is suddenly not herself ….even the strongest people can become a shadow of what they once were…they can start questioning their own sanity,no matter how much they explain they will never be believed.they are going to be judged no matter what.when a person has written you off as “you are this or that” its easier to hide in your own shell then convince them otherwise. If you can not see mehreen’s mental state then congratulations you probably never had to encounter emotional abuse or trauma. Even aswad’s character is tragic one in a way

Your current drama, first outstanding acting the entire cast! The subject is important, none of the abusive characters were made hero’s! The message of the novel and drama, toxic peoples comes out of dysfunctional families, these dysfunctional adults raise their children to become dysfunctional adults! The message is clear! The trolls that comes out talking about toxic relationships and abuse, what are trolls putting out? Plus, that mindless troll journalists, never watch your body of work, these trolls just wants 15 min of attention by using your names! Love hearing her talk about Shahrukh. Her life and career remind me a lot of him actually. Because she copies most things said by SRK and Fawad Khan in their interviews . I follow the latter closely.. and I’m astonished when Mahira says the same things in her interview word to word, because I know she follows these two closely too, she’s always in Social Media. I agree it’s unfair her contemporaries target her because they’re probably jealous of her success. That said, Mahira isn’t a great actor.. she was when she started her career when she was new and raw, but now she has that odd frown going with same expression and lip licking etc. she won’t take risks either , her roles are repetitive.she’s beautiful onscreen and has an aura.

Great episode! She is a pure soul and sincere in her work. Her, "Sher-e-zaat" drama was also remarkable. I wonder why people criticise Mehreen character ??? Such toxic families and miserable individuals like Mehreen does exist. The only thing is it getting slow but there is nothing wrong with the story or THE Chracraters inside. All characters are well written, the only thing is play is a dark play. Stop criticising Mehreen character. xxx
