After all the torture the audience is going through by watching this drama, I am trying to convince myself, that we still can learn the ‘one’ thing this drama has taught us. One doesn’t need to beat someone up physically to abuse them, emotional abuse is equally or more damaging and dangerous. I dun think it’ll be a happy ending, in book she develops a mental disorder, most probably schizophrenia, and that disorder is not curable. It’s on,y treatable if it’s mild or sometimes moderate, but severe form is extremely hard to manage.

Asal mein depression iss liye hai cuz usually dramas mein jin k saath zulm ho raha hota hai, woh Allah k saath connection build kar lete hain, Allah pe chor date hain, like in meri zaat zarrae benishan. But yahn pe mehreen ka religion se kabhi itna exposure he nahi raha. So iss liye bhi drama depressing hai cuz mehreen k saat saari zindagi bura hota raha and to the point where she lost her sanity, matlab usse zindagi mein kabhi khushi naseeb nahi hui. That’s the most depressing part. I know it’s drama but in reality Allah Agr kisi ki life mein mushkalein daalta hai, toh kahin se relief bhi milta hai, but yahn bilkul nahi hai. Allah pe yaqeen itself is the biggest relief. Pata nahi ab ye kese drama end karein ge.

Everyone is pissed off by the fact that mehreen doesn’t fights back anymore although her character used to be very strong and didn’t let anyone walk over her easily, but the fact that she is quiet now doesn’t makes her a ‘bechari’ like any other typical pak character. In my opinion, we’ve seen a character development, like mehreen was strong despite the difficulties in her life but we are seeing her character slowly start to wear out terribly. It’s visible that how little mental capacity is left in her to do literally anything and this is a very realistic portrayal bcs how far someone can go by facing traumatic situations all their life. Wouldn’t be surprised if she really turns psychotic it makes sense to me at least…

This drama actually have superbly addressed the toxic relationship and abuse issue that is not only prevalent in poor and illiterate families but also in rich, intelligent and educated families. However, the spoilers suggest that the girl will eventually forgive her husband and they'll live happily ever after. If that's going to be the ending than this drama will do a disservice to it's issue at hand. It would rather be encouraging to stay on in such a toxic relationship and tolerate. Instead it would do better if it shows to the women that that's not the end of the world, there is in fact a new and much better world that awaits them.

I had been watching Urdu dramas for sometime now. Unlike most, this dragging drama with a very visible unnecessary stretching of the scenes just to make more commercial benefit has in fact killed the goal of achieving what could have otherwise been a good drama. The director has to get his act together before it gets too late! A good drama is not about pulling a fast one in the end. It is about keeping the audience engaged so they remain thrilled to return to watch. If the next episode keeps the same pace, I don't think I will return to watch the remaining ones! Good luck!
