I am confused as to where I can find my digestion color or profile. I know my top left arrow points to the right but my chart from myhumandesign only shows “digestion” as cold food, “strongest sense” as feeling and “environment” as caves. There is nothing that includes any of the 6 types you are explaining in this video. Could you tell me how to find this please? Just discovered your videos today & am loving all of your content!

Mine says Strongest sense Taste and Digestion is Hot Foods I am a left arrow so open? But how does Hot foods factor in?
@TheSimplyCa3 жыл бұрын
I have a separate video on Sense, but the breakdown for you is that your strongest sense is Taste - meaning it's important for food to taste good (but not artificial or overpowered by salt, sugar, fat) and you may notice that you "taste" the air/environment. When it comes to the type of foods that you eat (that you enjoy the taste of), it's best of those foods to be eaten at room temp or warmer (the Colour is "Thirst" - "hot thirst" with your left-facing arrow).

I’m low sound & my fiancé is high sound … makes sense. He loves music while we cook and while I enjoy it sometimes most of the time it ends up giving me anxiety. He also loves watching movies while we eat… I enjoy it because it’s time I get to spend with him but I often feel like I’m overly full but not satisfied…and usually don’t sleep well… and I have lots of digestive issues

How do we know which digestive type we are?? Seems not much information is out there to find.

My digestion is cold thirst but my body does not run warm. I hate being cold I can’t tolerate the cold weather at all. Does it have to be your body temp too or can it just be the environment being the opposite of the food? If that makes sense.
@arlenejames. Жыл бұрын
Same! I was surprised to see my digestion to be cold when my body type is Vata according to Ayurveda (which means I need to have warm foods). And I can't stand the cold either. My body temperature can go from being extra warm in the summers (more than the average person) to being extra cold during winters 😂 I wonder if you relate

One thing I can't seem to find the answer to is, what about the other "levels" besides the one my colour shows. I'm colour 2, tone 2, but what does my body like best when we look at hot/cold, calm/nervous and so on? Is it ONLY the level the colour points to, that we can say something about for sure?
@TheSimplyCa3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure I fully understand your question...I like to use myhumandesign.com because the colours and tones are in clear language and too much HD is hidden behind non-descriptive language. If I'm understanding correctly and your top left arrow points to the left, your colour is 2 and your tone is 2 you are Open Taste. Your variables don't point to hot/cold, calm/nervous, direct/indirect, etc. I hope that helps!
@vickigylling3 жыл бұрын
@@TheSimplyCa thankyou. I Know it only points to open taste but does it mean that my body has no preferance about hot/cold, nervous/calm light direct or indirect and so on or is that just expetimenting with it because the answer isn't given? I mean I all those circumstances are still there and may affect my digestion right? Even though my colour doesn't directly point to the answer
@TheSimplyCa3 жыл бұрын
@@vickigylling Correct! All those circumstances are still there, but they aren't as important for your specific energy. In theory, you could try out the left-facing circumstances and see if they create an impact for your digestion, but the one for you to have focus on is open taste :)

It's true,there is a LOT of conflicting information around food! I have Open Taste,i had been drawn to eating with the seasons,just never did it. I somehow sought to connect to nature in that way. One other Human Design coach i met here on KZbin said something similar to this too! I really like your teaching style,i resonate with it :) By eating habits,would that include meal timing? Because i've had some tendencies to compulsively eat on sight or have urges.
@TheSimplyCa3 жыл бұрын
Follow that urge to eat with the seasons!! With your left-facing digestion arrow, having plans/schedules/consistency with your food may assist is decreasing that feeling of compulsion towards food. Since your Taste is Open, you're likely 100% happy to eat the same thing every day with the season, and then have an impulse to try something new (or you'll be with someone and they'll offer that up as an option) - try it out!

Cold food is considered that of room temp or below. And Inner Vision is meant to create a sense of internal exploration and creativity. I always hesitate around the directive nature of this part of HD so please use it as a reflection and/or exploration for yourself!

I have Alternating Appetite. I heard in one youtube video that we have to eat the most organic, without flavors added. Like salt, sugar, etc. If it's a piece of meat, we have to eat it without other flavors like onions, seasoning etc. This is sooo difficult because I conditioned to eat all that stuff. I eat so much sugar, seasonings...(I know it's bad), but change drastically my eating (bad) habits to a Rigid Digestion it would be challenging. But I hope I can do it!

Hey! I am curious, I also have a type 1 alternating digestive type. How have you successfully pulled off a plant based diet with this one? I feel like I am not sure where to get my fats and proteins, I am sick of just eating nuts and eating oil on it own does not work. Also do you incorporate Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle into your human design, specifically your diet?
@TheSimplyCa3 жыл бұрын
To be honest, I am a very intuitive eater and really don't pay a whole lot of attention to the specifics (despite have nutrition training and being crazy passionate about food!). But I do use/eat toasted sesame oil and EVOO in dressings/sauces, avocado, nut-based milks and sauces/dressings. I'll also snack on nuts/seeds and/or nut butter on rice cakes. Oh, and if I have oatmeal, I'll usually add some nut butter and/or crumble some nuts/seeds on it. For protein, my main source is tofu and other types of soy (I avoid foods with modified soy and eat organic, non-gmo soy), but will then sometimes change it up with lentils, black beans - I need to work on my protein intake! 🙃 And yes, this isn't in perfect alignment with my HD digestive type; however, where I've found my digestive type to make sense to me is when I'm excited about a food for a week or so, and then I'm over it and move on. I'd like to learn more about Ayurvedic eating and living, but it's been very peripheral so far.

I love flavour so I do play.in the more complex foods; however, my go-to meal is white rice with tamari, steamed broccoli, and tofu 😂 And definitely go through phases of eating certain foods, and then I'm over them for a period. I agree - having an awareness of your HD digestion can be super helpful as there is so much information (good and bad) out there regarding diets - I just want people to feel empowered to listen to themselves! Thanks for this info! Open Taste with Smell as my strongest sense-Many foods universally considered to be healthy (such as most vegetables) smell and taste bad to me. Most of them give me heartburn, too. So should I only eat foods that smell and taste good to me? Those would be foods that are deemed unhealthy. I could eat ice cream all day/every day LOL. I have no idea how to eat locally these days when so many items and ingredients are brought in from so many other regions. As far as smell goes, it is no surprise that smell is my strongest sense. I am very sensitive to artificial scents in perfumes, candles, and hair and skin products.

You've given me an idea for another video - thank you! I don't know which episode it was, but Jess Lively (The Lively Show podcast) has at least one older episode where she talks about listening to her inner voice when it comes to eating - especially what would be considered "junk" food. My other thought on this is that a lot of the times (what's your Energy Type?), we want to eat certain foods as a soothing mechanism. I'm in no way saying it's "bad", but something to sit with. Regarding local foods, depending on where you live, a trip to a local farmers' market might be a fun adventure to play with :)
