So... since he had a ship, why did they walk to her city instead of flying there?

1. One person ship 2. Not enough fuel to fly somewhere and still get back to space. 3. Ship only able to land and another ship will fetch him later. 4. Pilot took off with the ship he landed in. 5. Showing space ships to primitives could be a worse fate.
