The Pershing Rifles Company A-6th Regiment Honor Guard was requested to lead the Southern University Human Jukebox through the streets of New Orleans many years ago and the band was as strong back then as it is now. There are no prouder moments than representing Southern University and hearing the screams, cheers and applause erupt from the crowd! THE SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY HUMAN JUKEBOX WAS, IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST BAND IN THE LAND!

Various reasons first being budget for the band and how much the parades are covering. The second some kids my have graduated in the fall.
