James Harris #3 & Terry Lewis wrote and produced the same musical pattern, originally, for The SOS Band's #1 R&B single in early '86: "The Finest"; lowering the tempo to around 85 BPMs on the title track of the album: "Sands Of Time"!! "Human" first got a lot of R&B airplay; eventually peaking at the top of the Pop Charts on 11-22-86!!

Jam and Lewis, who produced this album, also produced the SOS Band, songs like "Tell Me if you Still Care" and "Weekend Girl"

I never heard "Human" like this before, in the raw. A fact: The drum machine pattern was intended for an SOS Band song that never made the cut.

Cool fact. Also, you probably already knew the ending of this song is very similar to another popular song produced by Terry & Jimmy?

I bet those who spent there young adult life in the 80s had an amazing time partying to real music unlike the foolish music us youngsters have to put up with today.

I remember hearing this song thinking that this was a Janet track being that this coincided with the release of "Control" in 1986.
